The Calvinism inferred here proclaims; God is the author of evil and Jesus only died for some people. Ordaining most to hell before they are born. Having done neither good nor bad. The second inference is evolution and death before sin. Are these doctrines biblical? Are missionaries preaching this? The gift of salvation is offered to everyone. That’s the Gospel truth👍

So why did Christ die and suffer. Simply this that when man sinned he lost the opportunity for eternal life. Christ died to take the penalty of death so that man in Christ risen could have eternal life. This is the reason for Christ’s death…..not saved from hell but from eternal non-existence. PERIOD. The hell that the bible talks about in the worst case scenario is a place of destruction. The Gospel is the Good News which means that we live forever. The Good News is that believers live forever and NOT that we are saved from an eternity in hell. One would have to be immortal to be in hell forever. Only believers in Christ live forever. For those who want to see justice for someone like a Hitler, at the judgment one like him will receive the appropriate amount of stripes on the way to destruction which we can call hell. It says in Matthew that “do not fear him who can destroy the body but fear Him who is able to destroy both body and soul in hell.” The Good News is God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son, he who has the Son has life (eternal life) and he who does not have the Son does not have life. Eternal life is living forever, and that is something we did not have before having the Son. All unbelievers will not live forever because they do not have the Son. Which also means that they will not suffer forever because they are not immortal. People are not born immortal. Believing in the Son qualifies us for immortality. To believe in hell that goes on forever really robs Christ of what he accomplished at the cross and resurrection, Eternal Life is a gift. If everyone lives forever, even those in a bad place, where then is the Gift? A study of the Greek words in the historic grammatical usage in the New Testament will show that death, destruction, and perish all mean the same thing.....cease to exist. The majority of passages in the new testament regarding final judgment uses these terms and their meaning is fixed from the historical Greek usage. There are a few exceptions in Revelations which seem to indicate an eternal punishment but compared to the preponderance of verses that in the Greek mean death - total dissolution of ones being.The Gospel that is Good News does not include salvation from eternal torment....The Good News is that fellowship with the Son qualifies me to live forever. I can smile and be happy and thankful about that and share enthusiastically. As you mentioned there are many out there who are in the process of deconstruction and the main issue that has caused this is the topic for today. Doctor White from Alpha & Omega ministries stated on a recent podcast that 80% of New Testament scholars hold the belief in what I have just put forward….which is called Conditional Immortality. The two guest pastors you had on were the cream of the crop...they were well studied and really displayed the love of God.

What a discovery on CZcams. Human sacrifice (this story) is a major reason I fell away years ago. I came back with Jacob as an inspiration, that we wrestle with faith and keep going. Faithfulness. What I missed was that Abraham was a man of his day, a Mesopotamian who did not object to the ubiquity of the “ask”. But our God spared Isaac and provided a way. The Way seems to be a recurring biblical theology (deliverance). I love the psalms because David like Jacob also wrestles. Whenever I feel that the Old Testament story morally fails modern ethics, I think wait, John Walton always says it is not written to us, but is a gift for us.

God is not so much a community but a family. Father and Son. A family before He created family. Satan is not so much attacking community, He is, but our family. The building block of community.

RE: Genesis 2:17 “ you shall surely die” this is why sin has consequences. Why Jesus, the creator, had to be incarnated and be the savior. No death before sin. This is the Christian foundation. Sin ruined everything. Eden was a walled garden. Adam was the first man ( Roman’s 5) and lived 930 years. Thousands of kinds created not millions of species. Entropy of the genome. Devolution of man not evolution. Six days creation written with the finger of God in stone tablets (Ex 20 and 31). Creation 6 thousand years old per scripture. Noah’s grandfather may have known Adam. Did Adam have a belly button?? Are you really saved? Are you a new creation? Born again? Peace

Hi Fact check… there was not millions of species created but thousands of “ kinds”. Eden was not the whole world but defined by scripture. “ Paradise is translated “ walled garden”. Lastly, Hitler was made in the image of God too. So what gives? But believers are a New Creation. See 2 Corinthians. And A children of God. Hitler was a child of Satan. Our identity? It’s believing and following Jesus.

Dear Pastor, How do you reconcile your belief in evolution with Genesis? Image of God when? At what stage? Before Adam? Please explain this dissonance.
