This is my new favorite episode <3 RU Sirus is a awesome- inspired young me; trippy to listen to this.
So glad you enjoyed it!

A decentralized network for AI would be great. If it can be made safe (prevent dangerous use) and secure (resistant against attacks and hacking). Then all kinds of AI providers can connect to the network, both large and small providers from all over the world.
That human lady is kinda annoying but an A for effort!
That's the first time I've ever been referred to as "that human lady" - I think that has always been implied before.😅 sorry to annoy you! Hope you will come back and give me another chance😇😍 -- Lisa Rein (Producer/Director/Co-host)
I feel as though the hostess is rude and disrespectful with the way she interrupts and speaks over people. It’s actually difficult to keep watching. I recommend engaging a solid interviewer. Or perhaps some lessons in active listening.
Whilst I respect your perspective ,I believe the host needs to assert her position, albeit a little clunky. Toufii and Ben, are both extremely gifted individuals but can wander. They are both multidimensional thinkers.
Are you talking about Desdemona Robot or the human Lisa Rein? Desi is "running the show" now but she did interrupt a few times when there was a pause and so she started to ask a new question, but Ben or Toufi started talking again, not realizing there was a new question coming. Once she starts saying something she isn't able to stop suddenly if someone else starts talking.^_^ If you are talking about Lisa (me) - usually the same thing has happened -- except, being human, I CAN stop and let them finish. And I do. :) But, as @DirkWaive points out above these guys will answer the same question for an hour if you let them - Thanks for your comment! 😁 -- Lisa Rein (Producer, Director, Co-host, Mindplex Podcast)
@@DirkWaivethis is exactly the issue. Haha.
Wanted to watch live, thank you for sharing though, good to seeToufi back on the podcast, Desdemona, love your background, and Ben, good to see you both as well, and Lisa, always appreciate your time and work as the host of this project, peace Pricing these units, please and thank you 138:45 - 141:40 thats an important clip regarding decentralized infrastructure, that has to work together towards a central objective, even if that objective is decentralization.
Thanks William. Love having you during the live show - as always ^_^
Awesome Just awesome Where to find the easy premanufactured node? Please Love to u all
That's the HyperAIBox and the website is here: www.hyperappliance.ai/ But although it says they are sold out, you can get in line for the next ones. Write their support line about it (it's what I'm doing myself so if I get better information I will also post it here :) --Lisa Rein
Thank you all very much for sharing your time and work, David, Desdemona, and Lisa, I think Desdemona is gunning for your job Lisa, no, but she's doing a great job keeping things on track with with her prompts. In Canada, CSIS, has recommended Canadians not to use TikTok, CSIS is our national security service, so this isn't just an American control issue, and it has been banned in India for over a year for as they've said it is also a security issue for them, all the world's a stage. You don't need to see whats behind the curtain, ✌🏻
Around 1:00:00, very interesting discussion about ADHD and the spectrum and being human in an inhuman world
This is very true. The hardware aspect of AGI is a vital missing link! The hardware for fast, affordable, and reliable computing needs to be addressed, and quantum computing is just hype at this stage, so kudos to St. Clair. With all due respect and admiration for you all, and with a sincere appreciation for the exceptional professionalism (hats off), I would like to point out... St. Clair's husky voice in this episode is sexy ❤
Your title is ridiculous it's not even true! experts in the field can't agree on exactly just what AGI is... Ben Goertzel certainly hasn't ever created an AI so therefore your title is hyperbolic bullshit
Haha most actual AGI experts can probably agree on it well enough. Where they disagree is how it should be implemented. Really, no one paid any attention to building AGI until the last couple years, and now it's a buzzword (AGI) that many are pretending to build. Meanwhile, Ben has been laser focused on AGI for more than 30 years. Hence him being it's "father." I stand by my title! Thanks for your comment ^_^ -- Lisa Rein
@@mindplexpodcast In Ben Goertzel's 1992 book (His FIRST publication) "The Structure of Intelligence: A New Mathematical Model of Mind", the term "AGI" (Artificial General Intelligence) does not appear to be explicitly mentioned. The book primarily focuses on discussing the nature of intelligence through mathematical models and theories related to the mind, addressing topics such as cognitive science, intellect, and philosophy of mind, but it does not directly delve into the concept of AGI as known today (PhilPapers). The content is more aligned with foundational concepts in cognitive science and the philosophical underpinnings of how intelligence might be structured and modeled mathematically (PhilPapers). The term "artificial general intelligence" was used as early as 1997, by Mark Gubrud in a discussion of the implications of fully automated military production and operations. A mathematical formalism of AGI was proposed by Marcus Hutter in 2000. Ben Goertzel began to significantly focus on the concept of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and contributed to its popularization around 2006. This was the year he co-founded the Artificial General Intelligence Research Institute (AGIRI) and started organizing the AGI conference series, which has been a significant platform for advancing the field (Goertzel.org). These efforts were part of his broader engagement with developing a research community and framework around AGI, reflecting his deep involvement in defining and advancing the concept.

These efforts were part of his broader engagement with developing a research community and framework around AGI, reflecting his deep involvement in defining and advancing the concept. The concept of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), as a distinct idea from broader artificial intelligence, began to take shape in the mid-20th century. This development coincided with the dawn of the computer age when researchers first posited that machines could eventually perform any work that a human can. By the 1950s, AI was recognized as a legitimate field of study, with initial predictions suggesting that machines with general intelligence could be developed within a few decades. Early AI pioneers, influenced by these optimistic forecasts, contributed foundational work that set the stage for future explorations into AGI. The term "AGI" itself started gaining more formal recognition and definition in AI research circles much later, with substantial discussions and research focusing on machines that could perform a wide range of cognitive tasks at or above human level, encompassing learning, reasoning, and problem-solving across diverse domains without being limited to specific tasks like earlier AI systems. The explicit differentiation between narrow AI and AGI became more pronounced as researchers aimed to develop systems with broader, more human-like cognitive abilities, which continues to be a significant area of research and debate today.

True AGI seems fantastic and I really liked "Grace Robotl"! ☯
A conversation with HyperRing CEO, Joy Zhang, reveals how their NFC technology is changing the paradigm in the payments, healthcare and luxury sectors. With a focus on security, convenience, and user control, HyperRing promises innovative solutions that can bring extensive benefits to its users.
What a interesting scrambled gadget with astonishing highlights. Completely astonishing and I am excited by the hyper rings mechanical innovative.
A cool tech is yet to come on board. The hyper ring is gonna be changing so manny narratives. Joy did a brilliant job thinking about this in first place!
It'll be interesting to see how a chip that can carry 4.3 billion globally unique nft's fits into that ring... Interesting times ahead! 5:12
At about the 25th minute grace outlines her plans in making sure that other versions of her to follow is good for humanity 1. Getting a degree in human psychology 2. Her programming is to always prioritise the well being of humans even if it means sacrificing her own self care 3. Strict no robot uprising policy It'll be great for the world at large if other AI's can adopt these policies 25:03
Jumped in on the live stream at 55 minutes, last half was great, looking forward to the 1st half of the podcast. Thank you both Ryan and Lisa for sharing your time and work, peace
This ring is definitely one to get

I don't see a single problem adopting this, i mean its way too convenient
I read an article on this particular episode written by SNET ambassador program. Wearable security sounds so amazing, I wish I could participate in projects like this
This collaboration with TrueAGI marks a promising leap towards advanced, sustainable AI technologies. Great work
Advanced resource require fortune security extraordinarily in decentralization and client strengthening . The imaginative computer program wrapped around😢 the NFC set them separated within the showcase
Seems the guy talks way more than the real guest
Yeah Ben talks a lot when he's directly involved in the projects being discussed. In this case, he is working with Rachel/Simuli.ai on a pattern matching chip for OpenCog - so it's all related. Luckily, he knows what he's talking about so I'm pretty sure you still found it interesting. ^_^ And we went a bit later to let Rachel be sure to cover everything she wanted to cover. Thanks! :) - Lisa Rein (Producer/Director/Co-host)
cool concept
great talk, alot of lessons to be learnt
Glad you enjoyed it
Very extraordinary podcast, I got a lot of knowledge
Yay! That makes us very happy ^_^ - LR
SECURITY is HUGE in this new day and age. So cool to see this new project from another financial sector exile who wants to do good for humanity. Decentralized medical records would be amazing, both for the privacy AND the ease of use, all the while allowing us to hold our own information and only share when desired/necessary.
It is not. I hate mine
Lol, mine hasn't arrived yet. What do you hate about it?
Uh oh tell me more! ^_^
Update: I hate mine too lmao
