It sucks that Michael's fanbase consists mostly of us bass nerds. This guy has made some of the most interesting music I've ever heard and he hardly gets any notoriety outside of a few circles. A real shame.

Man this is awesome, if only the audio were better. Seeing him play Bad Hair Day on film is rare.. I dont know if you know this, but he told the backstory of this song when I was at his Master Class.. When he was recording Thonk, a studio staffer was standing over him and the gum in his mouth fell out and into Michael's long hair!.. They tried in vain to pull it out and they had to cut a chunk of his hair out! Hence, it inspired him to create this song! lol

What effects are being used?

It is generally hard for me to have favorites due to there being so many amazing bass players. However, Michael Manring is definitely my personal favorite, and has been for a number of years now. All of his work is very inspirational. Furthermore, I also really enjoy the length and variety of his solos whenever I happen to find a new video of him. You have a fine collection of footage here, Brian!
