I don’t have the rights to this song but I like to believe that God had me in mind when He gave it to Colton Dixon. 60 years and God has been by my side or carried me through it all. I am so thankful to know that I know that I know. I am ready to go be by His side any day He says!! Thank you Colton Dixon for your obedience to Him in putting this song out there to encourage us!

I never of these guys! But Here It comes out great as a new own personal version very independent from the original and now these guys can look like independent artists. This is the way to become an artist. Imitations are great but they can't make anyone famous enough as I noticed it with Elvis's great impersonators . I think it that it's a way better to emphasize the dynamics of the own version always. Congratulations !

Spent many nights at Buddy's Bar B Q listening to the Knoxville Grass. There is a very good chance I was there when this was filmed. Saw the Country Gentleman at Buddy's with a young Jerry Douglas playing dobro. New Dawn, Boot Hill and others. I miss those days.
Yeah, me too, Randy. It was '77 on that I was there. Douglas was playing with Ricky Scaggs and Boone Creek then. Also in the band, Terry Baucum (sp?), who has gone on to have a successful bluegrass career, as well. Buck White and the Whites, billed as Buck White and the Downhomers back then. Ricky ended up marrying Sharon White later on. I used to see Glenn Laney occasionally working at Pick 'n' Grin, the music store next door to Buddy's. I remember I bought the banjo strap I still use from him, plus a lot of other stuff. Great talented guy who died way too early. In '86 Newgrass Revival was at the Tennessee Auditorium on Gay Street and had Tony Rice as the warm up act. Me and a buddy were Newgrass fans but we went mainly to see Rice. Tony apparently would use a pickup band in whatever town he was playing in to accompany him, and for this show in Knoxville, it was the Knoxville Grass. That pretty well shows just how talented they were -- top notch.

I was fortunate and blessed to grow up at pick and grin and buddy's. I was Glenn Laney's banjo student and close friend. Glenn said it best when he said "Paul will never know that he is one of the finest singers to ever live......" I agree God bless Paul and God rest Glenn.

I just ordered this CD. I saw him in Andalusia AL this past April when my son's band opened for Ricky & Kentucky Thunder. When Paul Brewster sang Kentucky Waltz, that was it. I instantly became a Paul Brewster fan!

Hello, I'm trying to find a band called Misty River who would have played at Dollywood in Tennessee in the eighties. My family bought their tape and have loved it and sung it together my whole life. The cassette eventually was lost. I'd give anything to find them. I've been searching for years. If there's any chance this is them, do you have any idea how to reach them? (And no, it isn't the all girl group that's easily found online, unfortunately. This was a gospel group who sang songs like "Joshua" and "Holding up the Ladder" and "I'd Rather Be" and "Up This Hill and Down" etc.) My family would be overwhelmed to find a copy of the music again. We know every word, every harmony. Thanks so much.

Guy's voice and ability on that guitar still haunts me. Incredible. Saw him in MN this past winter with Skaggs and co.
I think my iphone doesn't do it justice so we recorded some with a digital recorder and that is the audio in the 2nd half of the video.
