Your Mind Matters Episode 1: Welcome to Your Mind Matters
Your Mind Matters is a mental health initiative of Nashville Public Library. Our hosts hold conversations with local mental health advocates on various topics through a mental health lens. There have been many efforts made to destigmatize mental health, especially post-pandemic. We want to continue to break this stigma by creating a space for listeners to learn and receive resources for mental health and wellness, while hold unconventional conversations addressing the many ways mental health can be affected both negatively and positively.

Hello 👋 😊
❤ it to sweetpea 7:57
The joy that comes from BC and his work fills me! Get him on your shelf and read daily! ✌🏼❤️🤓
fear of the unknown; Each generation goes through a challenge and never knows how it will turn out ...
thankyou
I saw this mess right after. It came 30 feet to my back door. 20 of my neighbors were under water.
Gosh Anne Patchette is so boring and a bad interviewer...she's projecting her bland views on Glennon and it's like she's trying to cut her down to size like a mom would a bratty child who thinks she knows better..it's so frustrating coz she does this with most people she interviews including Elizabeth Gilbert although Liz can ward off her stupid remarks better
😬 *Promosm*
32:58 "The more opportunities you get to postpone making a decision, the worse it gets, and the longer it takes."
That's me at 35:37
I love it when the English believe and speak like they own the world.
I love listening to Doris Goodwin and Jon Meacham. It gives me hope
Etta was a great fabulous wounderful singer and she truly delivered all her songs lovey singer and was abut her craft especially with her voice
❤ The Judds got their first tv appearances on this show early in the morn Many country singers made it big after being on his show
Happy #BlackHistoryMonth !
Watching him jump in and orchestrate questions with the audience gives a feel of how dynamic and quick Glyn is in making things happen. Fantastic!
Good interview. Pamela is a great role model.
One small detail. Mr. Massie was born in 1929, not Catherine the Great. She was born 200 years earlier. 1729.
I am loving this.
Synq vanity pardo and niesha taylor
Brain tora trree. Taicon.
Kristi you are a great performance to watch, love it when you do the wicked smile, alway to insinuate part of the song....GREAT.... my wife an opera singer says where have you been she also loves your performance. Thank you for the joy.
Loved it, I had seen Kristi Rose but never a full song... awesome from a classical trained guitar player you are ok, Fats😀
Two good men having a decent conversion. I wish Bill spoke more about Trump, but he held his views to himself during this interview.
Jew
I love how she calls Lincoln, TR, FDR, and LBJ her “guys”, like they are her family. She brings their humanity to the forefront along with their übermensch-ness or virtuosity, (to crib Nietzsche or Plato). I would also love to be a dinner guest with Jon and Doris.
Loved it!
That was great! Two smart ladies being themselves. I like that. I think women still don't have as much freedom to be themselves. Society seems a lot more judgmental towards women. We're not supposed to make mistakes, be tired mothers, be angry and so on, we are supposed to be perfect parents all of the time, we need to pretend and play a role. In the meantime nobody is perfect, life is not perfect that's why I like real books, deep books. She should be able to write about parenting what she wanted to write, to infuse realness and vulnerability. I don't like pretentious books, on-the-surface books. On the other hand, she has fans because they like the realness of her books.
Paul Kennerly's story is quite interesting in its own way - married to Emylou Harris wrote a truck load of material that all kinds of people recorded from Emylou Harris to Ray Charles to Albert Lee and many others
I wonder how many members of the Nashville Now Band are still living? I know Jerry Whitehurst passed away, but I’m sure the majority of the band members are still alive today
He was the dude
Marvelous conversation and camaraderie, with many good statements and threads. I learned a lot, and enjoyed it all.
I neither play card games nor live in Nashville. But given these circumstances, I was still recommended this video. I don't know how, but here I am.
Ralph Emory was the absolute best ever. He did more for Country Music than any other individual.
….and he had great style. Not as good as Clapton, but he was quite busy in the 60s and 70s.
LATINX; ANOTHER RACIAL SLUR FOR HISPANOS/LATINOS....
Lots of fun. I sent it to my Reading Buddies.
This is so good and great information. I was glad I was there in person. Thanks to everyone who put this together.
Take time to watch this interaction between two great historians on difficult subjects like resilience, handling difficult situations, goal of life in a setting of light hearted setting where they discussed Lincoln and others. I will talk to you soon.
💚
I miss everything Ralph ever did. I will never forget early mornings with Ralph when I first moved to Nashville as a 21 year old. Great memories of these favorite people of Country Music.
Ann patchette is so rigid and linear in her thinking and in processing what Liz is saying and it's really hindering this interview
Só great to have this available here. Thank you, NPL!
I sure miss literally EVERYTHING about "Nashville Now". Watching this made me shed a few tears.
Oh lol
This was great!😊
Wait, did they really die?
