Monorails are cool and all, but they’re super expensive to build and maintain. Plus, they don’t fit in easily with other transit systems. They can’t carry as many people as subways, and expanding routes is a hassle. Also, people see them more as a novelty than a serious option. Cities don’t want to invest in something that’s costly and hard to integrate, especially when there are cheaper, more practical options like the conventional trains. That’s why they never really took off. No wonder the only places it has been implemented were under specific situations or were a amusement park. Fits just right in any steampunk rpg tho.

I learnt swimming when young and I can float but not be able to move in the water. Once I was on a jet-ski (the motorcycle on the water), I was thrown to the sky and dropped into ocean due to a strong wave caused by a strong wind, that moment I thought I was going to die, I held my breath and totally relaxed my body when dropped into the water, pretending that I am dead. Surprisingly I floated up to surface after a while. The brain though was a bit dizzy and in shock that I couldn’t sense/feel that I was actually floated. I started creaming “Help” until I hear my friend called me, I knew my head was out of water when I heard. Yes, breathe in before getting into the water , stay calm and relax yourself like on you bed is really important, it will save your life. Panic will kill you.
