I have a B75, fitted a Brooks B17 saddle upgraded the pedals to standard Brampton's, front carrier, black mud guards and a rear rack. Probably would have been cheaper to a bike with it all fitted :).

Hi,I to ride a Brompton,some upgrades I’ve done is replacing the 52t chainring for a 44t,I find that it allows not only lower gearing but you use all the gears whether it be 3 or 6 speed,also the suspension block I changed to a harder one being a bit on the heavy side,hope you enjoy the Brompton & look forward to seeing more videos,atb Colin P.

I also have a B75. I put the Ergon Shorts on. Brilliant Bikes has a video on B75 handgrips. I put Marathon tires on, the original ones are Racers, without reflecting strip. The Brooks is far nicer than the stock saddle. I am using a C-17. I was going to get the pentaclip, but the stock saddle mount does the job. I purchased a normal length seat post so in the folded position, the seat goes all the way down. The stock one is longer. I also added mudguards, a must in my opinion. Using clear helicopter tape for frame protection is a good idea. It’s cheap and you can’t notice it from 5 feet away. Enjoy your new bike, cheers from Chicago.

I first bought a long version leather with velcro, also covering and protecting the frame triangle, from London Craftwork! But though effective it didn't look right and finished, so I decided to sew a piece of leather on my frame with a nice series of crossing stitches, and then also up my stempost (You are able to buy a set of ready made leather in different colours with two needles and thread from China)! And all the absolutely - lousy and ridiculous pieces of "clear tape" put on the frame as "Protection" from the Factory, I have changed to carbon plates, with tape, for the purpose, from China (As many other parts and spares. I have just bought a Brompton type, theft-secure seat post from black titanium, and about the same price, I suppose, as an original post! My bike is a Black Version) And the Factory clearly knows where it hurts, after all those years of production, but have decided not to do anything about it!! From new I gave all my paint an autopolish, and after only two folds I found out that the one tape was nearly worn through to the paint, so it was in the very last moment! I also gave my titanium fork a bolted on shield, to protect the fork against wear from the cables. Finn. Denmark

I have never really understood, why a stand on a Brompton? It makes the bike stand in an unstable way, and most times you are able to just fold the back? And the Brompton tool-kit might do the job? Finn. Denmark

Oh man! It is a Brompton, so I have two leather grips, with metal rings in the end, and a Brompton print on them!!!! And you are easily able to replace - most parts on the bike, some better and lighter. I have replaced much into titanium parts, seat post, bolts, nuts and the front axle and security parts for it. And carbon parts, as a handlebar and the holders for the mudguards to aluminium and carbon, with small bolts. Look and search on a. o. Chinese A. E. and search, and you will see pages full of Brompton-like parts, also from titanium, as my one seat post (Still with the Brompton theft-security, and for a price about an original)! Finn. I bought a B75 a few years back and hardly used it till I fitted an electric kit to it just before Covid. I couldn't live without it now. Total cost of bike and kit was about £1200 and I added a few other mods like you have. It still owes me less than half what an official Brompton electric would have. B75 has been discontinued so that colour is now defunct, but it's one of the main reasons I bought the B75 in the first place.

Ebay ? new or second hand ? this is the pre model to the new A line then the B75 ? my guess is it is then second hand because the B75 does not come with mud guards.. i love this bike only had mine a week... amazing investment for people who live in a city in an appartment.. for example i live in a city of nearly 550,000 with an underground system and public transport system . it is great for taking on these..... one thing i have found is that there is no shock suspension at the front , due to the 16 inch wheels and having no front suspension the hand hand grips at the front will recieve a lot of vibration !!! and will be very noticable.. what i have done is buy Foam bicycle handgrips from woolworths which is literally 50 meters from my front door ( cost 1 € ) and cut one into half ( length ways ) then placed this semi circular foam over the top of the existing hand grip.. i found this really helped with absorbing the extra vibration.. A person with small hands may have to find an alternative but it worked for me and improved the ride greatly . And do not forget NEVER PEDAL and change gear ... always keep your pedals stationary then change other wise you will damage the hub gears ...
