Custom made inswing vault door with a dual locking system. First lock, is a Sargent & Greenleaf mechanical combination lock. The second lock, is a SecuRam digital keypad. To open the door you need both combinations. It also has an internal release handle, so you can open the door and lock it from the inside. So what's the smaller step made of? The fire ratings on these safes are suspect as hell, they don't mention UL or any 3rd part rating but claim up to 2.5 hours.

My S&G is quite old. There's no key in front. I have always turned to zero at the last/end. Now I'll turn to where it stops, just to be different.

The chrome ring won’t turn on my top lit securam?!
Is it the top lit one? Or the second one he shows? If it the first one it may be a little tight but it will release with slight force counter clockwise. If it’s the second one shown it pulls down from the bottom right and doesn’t need to be unscrewed
My dial is currently stuck ( I hear a metal clank ) I can’t open the door ( model 2397) the handle goes up and down but the dial does not move :
