@@jamesyu8183 with a right match, you could get bit under 40hz easily, it is better than most of the giant floorstanders! The total tonal balance is well designed with no feeling of lack of low ends even at this size of woofer and cabinet. The bass might not be too big, but it is absolutely deep enough

Ignorance is terrible.

I have double checked with Jc in Jadis and he has confirmed that all the class-A integrated amplifiers of Jadis, does not need any bias setting at tube rolling. All of them can autobias themselves with any new tubes with the same codes automatically without any extra adjustment. The only needed adjustment would be for using different code of tubes which are not pre-set in each unit.

First, you have to listen to it to understand why you should pay this much money on one of the most analogue devices with no options or extra facility. You just pay to immerse deeply in the music. There is nothing special for this french brand, cause it has no ads or a massive marketing methods! but just giving you what you need to listen to the music, with its full-body sound, tons of details in every frequencie along with its magical tube feeling. What else you would need?

If you have a reference pre-amp, surely yes, it can convince you mostly with every moderate speaker, otherwise like what I have(non-reference pre like DSPre), it cannot show its potential.

I heard both dac8 and dac9 of ARC in my system for a long time, but let me tell you that La Scala with the right tube will blow your mind in both SS or vacuum tube amps and ARC DACs cannot even get close to it. It can give you the warmness of ECC81 alongwith vast details and big soundstage.

What is your SS amp? Actually, the vacuum tube amps are in another world of joy and happiness.

Am considering getting the la scala for some beautiful music but also in future getting audio research tube amp after hearing them with Wilson’s Sasha v. Neutral but beautiful colors and extremely high and precise soundstage. Wasn’t the most detailed though

@@ribiza_audiophile sub woofer(s), properly set up, definitely make an appreciable difference. Much more like a live performance. You feel the music as well as hear it. I have another system without subs and the music is beautiful but there is a missing dimension. This is especially true with jazz recorded before the 1970s.
