@@specificsoup Correct. J. Owen's version is gorgeous as far as I'm concerned. Does that mean you couldn't do her version since you now have heard her do Creep/another song? I'll look for others covers. There's a lot of them. Bruce Springsteen, 1985, in Paris at concert. But in that one, it takes a while to get to song; He's talking to stadium audience first. Think it's his ending concert song? Not sure. Didn't watch much. But also, Casey Musgraves has it as a background for that fairly recent movie about Elvis. You know Casey Musgraves' gentle, soft voice. Contrast with Jennifer Owens'. I personally prefer Owens' voice, strong, perfection, sometimes belter, but Casey is a beloved performer, singer. There's others, including Pentatonix. There's also a singer I don't know who does a cover put in the movie "Crazy Rich Asians." And Haley Steinhart has a cover! My fave is either Pentatonix's or J. Owens' version, but you could pick whichever of these many???

I can react to an artist multiple times, just not versions of a song that I've already heard before. I can definitely do more Jennifer Owens! Wooohhh I guess I have a lot of options then :)

Ty! No worries haha, I watched this entire series before starting to edit and post my reactions... I did look up info when I started watching and I knew to watch the special editions. What's nice is that Netflix (as far as I could tell) has the special edition versions of all the eps that have one.

Yes, I did! Heaven Official's Blessing season 1 donghua and the Untamed were my gateway into Danmei and Chinese BL. I think I just randomly found them on Netflix one day

I have finished the series :) I just binge-reacted and then sat on actually editing for months x.x (ep 3 coming soon!!) I am early in Lord 7th and I saw a mention of ZZS’s father I believe? And I was like oooh I can’t wait til we actually get to see ZZS. I’m only at chapter 11…the kids need to grow up first!

As far as wuxia vs xianxia, I’m still confused. I’ve heard people say The Untamed is a mix of both. There’s also a very important cultivation method in this show.. I can tell it is more on the fighting side of things, for sure.

Oh god, I know. I’m so far down the rabbit hole with this show, I’ve read so much about it now. Correct me if I’m wrong but I read the total budget was 50 million RMB, and that’s with the nuts sponsorship, and that’s less than $7 million USD…. I had to look up TV show budgets to give myself a reference. I remember that ONE episode of game of thrones in season 1 was $6 million 😅 the things they achieved with the tiniest speck of money, I cannot understand.

I actually binge-reacted and just have yet to edit and post the rest.... so I've been in the same boat wishing there were more reactions to it too!! I wish I hadn't missed the train when this show came out or even when it first came to Netflix but, better late than never :)

also, to my knowledge, there’s always been the 🔞 censor on desco- whether this is sony’s censorial decision or if it’s deliberate & meant to be a “tease”, i’m not sure. the drummer is yoko fukuda & she’s a sessions musician (she’s been accompanying them on tour since ruri’s break)! mii-chan (the pianist) is an honorary member at this point (she’s with them on almost every tour & appears in the credits of official releases as well. contracts & legal stuff are probably the only reason she’s not an ‘official’ member)

Oooh, what is VK? Actually I remember one day, a bunch of old music videos for Queen Bee suddenly showed up, I think on the official channel. I watched a few. then they were gone shortly after. It was like they unregion-locked it for a bit and then said never mind ;.;
