Mowing the LAWN, just got easier with ai ROBOTICS!
Have ever wondered how robotic lawn mowers work? Or if they work? Well, I got one for me and made this video for you! I’m always searching for ways to be more efficient with my time and I enjoy taking care of my grass but I often wonder, what could I do, if I could save 4-5 hours a week. Manually cutting the grass takes me 2.5 hours twice a week. So this maybe the time saver that I’ve been searching for.

Very nice job. A thought I had was about ventilation under the deck. It is going to get wet there due to rain penetrating through the gaps. Improving under deck ventilation will allow the under deck area to dry out faster and slow down any rot. mildew and mould.

So on the Amazon page it says it takes 24 hours to do a .25 acre. So for me with an acre with some hills and counting charging time, it would take about 4 and a half days. By then it would be time to mow again, even if I had multiple batteries. Granted I didn’t see your whole yard, it seems that 2 1/2 hours to mow that is longer than it takes me to mow my acre. But I do have a lawn tractor to do it. I’m writing this before getting to the end, so at this time I don’t know what your conclusion is. But if your conclusion is that it’s the cheapest way and it actually works all the time without problems and keeping an eye on it, then I guess it’s a good thing for you. Going to watch the rest now, but I’ll end here by saying that I hope it works for you. Don’t think it would for me, but who knows maybe someday. Ok, at the end now. First, I don’t mow my yard everyday, but I live in the country and my yard, although nice, isn’t a showpiece lawn. Second, I couldn’t really tell where it had mowed and where it hadn’t, other than it moved over a bit. So if you run it everyday, then even if it misses some spots on day one, it will probably get them on another day. Third, running it everyday will wear out the battery sooner, I would think. I priced one for my weed eater the other day and it’s now close to the price I paid for the weed eater with a battery. So that and whatever electricity is used to charge them is a cost. And fourth, it didn’t look like it was getting clear to the fence or you planting borders. Being that the grass wasn’t that tall during this test run, it’s not really noticeable. But I’d think after a month or so there’s going to be some trimming needed. Again I’ll say, if you’re happy with it, that’s all that matters. And as far as AI taking all our jobs. If we are all put out of work, or even just a majority of us, who’s going to have any money to buy whatever product the AI is making. The first people I’d like to see lose their jobs would be the creators of AI, being that their creation is going to destroy many people’s lives. And after all, once AI is up and going, why would it need the creators when it should be able to duplicate itself. AI and the other things going on these days make me not hate being an older guy. I figure by the time it all turns to crap, I’ll have already turned to fertilizer.😅. Anyway, back to the mower, good luck with it and do a 6 month or year review of it.

Hmmm, why yes! they have invented a tool to prevent you from having to bend over to screw down your deck boards. It’s called a “stand up drill for decking.” Check out your favorite “S American River” store. 😊 There are lots of other YTers that have used them. Camo brand. They also have that tool you started using part way through that lets you squeeze warped boards into alignment more easily than your clamp method.

did you pour some concrete under them post? I hope they not sitting on dirt and you poured around them. That is what someone did at the house I just bought. post rotted on the bottoms and sunk. I had to jack up the porch and pour new concrete footers then I attached the post to them with brackets to keep them just above ground level

  • @frankmortensen7651

Very nice job, that deck will last you a long time for sure! I do have a few takeaways for you though, or for others looking to build a deck and actually read the comments first. Someone else mentioned not to put the posts in the concrete, even if its ground contact treated. It will be ok for many years, but not AS many as if you had used a post sleeve around the post below where it protrudes the concrete to a few inches above ground, or used a post base and painted the cut end with copper naphthenate. also the technique of cutting the decking after its down made for some straight lines, but that rendered your tape work a waste of time and money, it also could make channels in the joists right where the water is going to drip down. Still, your work is better then some professional jobs I have seen.
