Every Saturday i met my mum at the clock tower and we’d go for a coffee and a walk around the shops picking up whatever we needed and I’d often pay visits to the formation records shop with my 70 year old mum and the look on who ever was behind the counter was a picture especially when she picked out some clothes saying this would suit you. One Christmas I asked her for a Helta Skelta cassette pack for my present one year and she went in on her on one day to buy it and the guy gave her a discount because she knew her stuff..she was a diamond. She was part of WWII and loved Hardcore and the odd bit of Jungle,my dad once took some diazepam and drank four tennents super and a three litre bottle of white lightning and put the stereo on to find one of my tapes in it and my mum rang me up laughing telling me to come down to see him buzzing,laying back tapping his feet and fingers listening to it..he was in his 70’s too 😂

I first heard Incredible General Levy on Fresh FM,that track blew my fucking mind especially when we’d taken a little trip,it would bring on the visuals immediately every time. Jungle = a beautiful sound

So glad I spend most of my youth between 1988-94 taping pirate radio in Sheffield SCR radio. Got Bout 30 different tapes n shows m d.j's only the best shows worth taping n saving 2. From early acid techno to jungle hardcore. The works. Just wish I knew how to upload em to you - tube.
