Despite everything that he does, it is quite easy to see why Helen falls for Arthur's charms .... Such an interesting and sad book, I just couldn't put it down when I was reading it and the same with the BBC series ( but as always the book is better :) )

I swear, this is the only movie that Ian McKellan looked so handsome and youthful! This was a great TV version of The Scarlet Pimpernel. I still watch it from time to time.

The second song in the concert scene that was starting as captain Wentworth was leaving was the one that always capture my attention. For the longest time I did not know the name of the song but it's a famous love aria " Porgi Amor" from "Le Nozze Di Figgaro" . I still don't know the name of the singer in the movie, but it was a very sweet and tender interpretation of a truly beautiful song.
