What pissed me off the most about Mikes step dad is the man just pretending like he never did nothing to Mike and everybody supposed to just be comfortable

This was probably the realest character in the whole show with such depth

His character was really cut short as were Stringer and Avon. Mildly irritating even now that we only got a season and a half of D'Angelo, and only three seasons of Avon and Stringer, yet 4+ of Herc, Jay, Cheese, Prez, Leadner, hell even Marlo boring ass.

I'd like to think stories like this inspired The Thread program in Baltimore

Michael's story is very similiar to that of Michael Corleone from The Godfather, neither of them wanted this life. They were left with no other options to protect their family. Even the scene where he sits in the kitchen knowing he had Bug's dad murdered mirrors the scene where 5 the families are being whacked while Michael is at Church.

If anything Marlo should've look @ the fact Mike was "crying" about a hit he participated in & Omar running his mouth about his boss... Chris seen Mike was down to go after Omar... He got caught slipping in the moment, but like Slim Charles & Brother Mouzone, he did all the right things, like concealing his face in case Omar memorized it... He stood up for Randy because that was his friend... He didn't care Marlo sent those young'uns... Mike was loyal to them even though he didn't agree with their why's... He owed them... Why would he snitch when Bug's dad was the reason he joined... He already got a body... Marlo couldn't really think like Mike... Mike weighed the pros & the cons...💯💯💯

It’s crazy how we didn’t see that Michael was destined to be the new Omar until. Strong, intelligent, driven, compassionate and most of all… fiercely independent.

The background music makes this unwatchable. There's a reason The Wire didn't use background music.

It's was a cartoon med evil tale I watch back in the day last unicorn was it's name was a seen were the wizard the maiden and the unicorn went to seek out a king call hagard font the king but the king had a jester who was also an old wizard the king hagard grown tired of so the king dimiss the old wizard wizard got angry was going to use his power to try destroy the king but couldn't cause the unicorn was a mystical creature wat the king wanted didn't know he had it wizard knew it but instead of destroying the king he kept wat he known to himself but for warn the king with these word you have let your doom in tru the front door but it will not depart that way fare well ole king fare well never forget sometimes we let our own destruction enter cause we think in came peacefully not knowing that your damnation 😢

Marlo still feels real til this day! He reminds me of those ogs in my hood that when they came around, you felt that energy... These was not the dude to play laugh or joke with unless they engaged cause MFS was getting popped everyday for NOTHING damn near and they was the ones behind it!! His look, cadence,his posture, his walk, shit I wonder if this is him in real life ! He needed an Oscar for this role!!

What Michael said about Cutty being friendly gave me an insight on Bugs dad that I never caught. When Michael was a kid I’m sure he trusted his stepdad a lot because of how nice he was to him, and that allowed him to drop his guard down long enough for the assault to happen.

i love THE WIRE, but i usually avoid these types of "edits". This one was is really good tho. good job and thanks for sharing.
