I owned a 2008 SLK, my biggest criticism of the car was it's poor build quality. The dashboard in particular has a very cheap feel to it. The new model introduced in 2012 has a much better cabin.
Love the car & color except for the tranny. I love my '99 996 6spd trans. However, I understand people that want an automatic. I'm 72 and still love that clutch..

I’m a fan! Looks great! There’s an 2005 near me that’s identical. I believe the later version are better though. That ABC suspension is definitely something you want to maintain. It’s a 10,000 repair when breaks😬
Its a barebones car... to reduce curb weight they should remove the engine and install pedals instead, that would be even more bare bones, best bang for your buck and still Porsche.
