I wasn't aware I did actually. I think that's a reflective sticker I put on it. The new helmet I don't have one though.

No. I considered them both but went for the 400cc MP3 as it was more refined and powerful. I now have the 530cc as I spend a lot more time on the motorway.
Can you carry a passenger on this bike if you are riding this on a car licence also can you go on a motorway cheers

Main thing putting me off is im not sure on the running cost and reliability and dealer after sales service compared to the Yamaha trinity 300
Personally I went with Piaggio as they have been making these for over 15 years now.

Hello, Mr. Mason - Thank you very much for the very informative and beautiful video. I’m “leaning” towards buying this bike - could you please tell what faults the bike had when you purchased? Also, concerning the windscreen, I test road a used ‘19, and that owner put a Givi extended windscreen on, and I thought, at 6’2” (188 cm?) that at that height I would be completely protected from the wind. At about 40 mph (75 kph?) my eyeballs felt as if they were twitching about from side to side. Have you come across this in your riding? I apologize that this is a bit lengthy, but in depth information such as yours is hard to come by in the States. Very much appreciated. RYB
The faults were all cosmetic, gaps too wide and badly fitted so I got those all fixed. I'm 1.85 (6´1") and the standard screen does me OK. This is the main reason I did a long review as I could not find anything myself. It's a good strong bike but throttle control is a must as she really wants to take off. I also us ethe cruise control a lot so I do not have to monitor the speed and can focus more on the ride.

The build quality is OK but mine came with faults which I had to get the supplier to fix.

I feel compeled to leave a comment . I plucked the courage into buying the mp3 500 sport advanced 2021 model and i must say its fantastic . Been on a 150 mile journey on it in wind fog rain on a mid november northern england day. I must say it handled very well . Im a 125 rider with a full uk car license and did not want to go through the pain of getting my full motorcycle license This mp3 500 sport advanced is better then i could imagine . It ride and feels like a scooter with the added extras of having a handbrake and reverse gear under seat storage is excerlent . My only gripe is the windshield not being a full version but thats very minor. I took to it very easily not as heavy as i thought but im a very athletic man😂 . If anyone is thinking of buying one of these bikes then please do they are fun and enjoyable to ride cant wait for summer becouse you will not get me off it . But treat it with respect it has some power and is not a 125 . I can see motorbike riders enjoying this as much as car drivers. It really is a enjoyable way to get around. It can filter through traffic its great in the towns and citys aswell as touring its a 9 out of 10 for me love it.
They hit the mark I think with the features of the MP3 range.

I own a mp3 300ie yourban i still dont know why but my exhaust backfires
a stock exhaust should not do that, unless you put an aftermarket exhaust on it?

What a great review, .. I have the 2021 mp3 500 sport advanced model, and it's great for commuting. The only downside is, when it's windy, the large fairing seems to act like a sail 😂 which is a little scary. Wow, Tenerife, you're so lucky... thanks for the video .

Love the video Michael. The single most helpful and useful video I’ve seen on this bike 👍🏻 Is there any chance that you could share some dimensions of the underseat storage area? (width, depth etc) I've got some specific bags that I'd love to be able to fit under there
Apologies for not getting back sooner. The camera bag is 40 cm long (hope that helps) and I can get 2 modular helmets under the seat.

Nice scooter! Have you taken it on much gravel? Does the front end hold much better than a normal 2 wheel?
Without a doubt yes. I will quite happily lean on wet bends without any thought for slipping. I have taken her off road once or twice and she handled very well but as it's a heavy bike (270 Kg) getting it moving from a standstill on gravel can be tricky so disable the ASR and let it slip a little when setting off.
I have driven my wife's 2009 MP3 on gravel roads several times and it is so much steadier than any 2 wheel street bike I have owned. I am not saying that it is a substitute for a dedicated dirt bike, but for the occasional ride on gravel it is very accommodating. @@MichaelWebMason

I got the 530 recently. I wish it was half the weight it is lol. I only weigh 54.5 kilos and am pretty short to boot. The dealer said I will get used to it.. i hope thats the case.. in any case I am hitting the gym to build nore mass and strength to be able to manage it a bit easier. Driving it at speed is great.. its those slow maneuvers and parking that are moat difficult as you mentioned though the reverse gear does come in handy it does not solve everything.
I think perhaps the slow maneuvers is more to do with whats your mind is telling you trust the bike i find it easier to maneuvet then my 125 gts vespa.

Sure and thanks for commenting. If I recall I pay around 300€ for 1 year fully comprehensive.
Thanks for your reply. The one quote I have been given was 900 GBP. No other company would quote, even through a broker. It just seems a little strange to me, it must be adversely affecting sales of MP3 in the UK. Thank you once again. Mike
@@MichaelDavis-by5iz WOW That's extremely high. I am over 50 years old though with a few vehicles insured and no claims so perhaps that has helped and my location too.

Age gives you experience which can only be taught through time, so older people will always have more experience, that doesn't always equate to intelligence, they've just seen more things and so do have some valid insight, but the point of life is for the older ones to teach from their experience to the younger ones with intelligence, so that we may all grow as a community.
