Hi. I am Steve Wilson. The travelogue videos you see on my channel are videos that I have taken on my trips around the UK and are a record of the places I have visited. They have been made so as to show people intending perhaps to visit a place for a holiday, or day trip, what it is like and whether it is worthwhile going there. There is a slant towards showing what the town, village or scenic area looks like, as opposed to the amenities available. Making the videos and editing them is very rewarding, and makes a change from writing crime thriller books. These are available from Amazon. I am also an artist and I provide a service whereby I can produce a painting from a photo file. Paintings I have produced are also available to purchase. Details may be found on my website.....leyhillbowlsclub.co.uk.

A beautiful walk I loved Velvet Hill. Beautiful scenery. Thank you lovely video.
Glad you enjoyed it. It was a very pleasant walk.
Fond memories of the place. There was quite an alternative community there many years back. Great day's 👍
You should have stopped at three spires. Rest ....ghash.
Been taken over by poles and stiggy eastern European skanks now
I love Folkestone
Cont'd, now some 65 years later, I still enjoy it.
Having first visited on holiday as a small boy, when it was a busy fishing village, I have always loved returning.
It is a lovely place to visit
Lovely Thank You we are visiting next week :)
Enjoy. I hope you have some good weather.
Thanks that's great.
I've just today completed all your videos. They are wonderful and I have really enjoyed them all. I am a shut in in Canada and I will never get to these locations so I very much appreciate seeing them through your eyes. Thank you so much!
Hi. Glad you enjoyed them. Thanks for your comments.
Using a tripod to pan and zoom will reduce the shaking. Nevertheless a nice video.
You are right. A tripod would have been useful. Glad you enjoyed.
I live in Lymington & it is crap. Full of pensioners retiring there pricing the locals out!
Don't forget all the OAP homes they build and continue to add. I live in a council house in Pennington. Except for Poundland, I prefer shopping in New Milton.
Does this town have a couple of modern markets a good way from the old town? It looks more like a place of work for a many. Not that so many actually lived there, i mean in comparison. Anyway, it is a beautiful little town!
i believe there is a market in the town on a monday
F**k me could you be ANYMORE BORING, you must have put visitor numbers down by an immeasurable amount, please do not ever work for tourism England.
😍😍😍😍😍👌👌👌👌
Never been but looks very nice.
You cut out most of the best parts of the walk which are broadsands onward, and parts of it were poorly edited, you started in Torquay then showed Paignton though parts of it were actually Preston sands and then you showed the livermead hotel which was back in Torquay. This video could and should have been much better.
Thanks. Must have had a bad day!
Hope you enjoyed seeing it
Memories of my childhood in Folkestone and Hythe in the 50's and 60's have come flooding back from seeing this. I remember my brother breaking his arm when he fell off the rocks on the Zig Zag; diving off the harbour wall into the outer harbour, when the tide was in of course; getting stuck in the mud in the inner harbour, when the tide was out; Saturday morning roller skating sessions in the rink next to the Rotunda. I remember living in Charlotte Street, London Street, the lower of the two houses on The Bayle Steps, Cheriton Road and West Parade in Hythe. I visited the area a few years ago to look at old childhood haunts but unfortunately was very disappointed in the condition of Folkestone town centre, the beach and the harbour areas. I wonder if anyone remembers Elliot's Dairy and shop on the corner of Charlotte Street and Dover Road?
me to i got stuck in the mud in the inner harbour i used to visit my gran she lived in thanet gardens .do you remember the little beach inside the inner harbour there was an old boat in there and at high tide we used to swim in it we had no fear. late 1950s to 1966 than i went to australia regards from rob we lived at swanton court farm near lydden.
Nice place. Been there but it was raining all through.
Not our fault for rain as we are Midlands. It is a nice place.
Glad you enjoyed, Peter.
I haven't seen the Village since 1983. I was there with my Parents and Siblings. It was a very pretty place from what I remember. Thanks for posting.
Thanks.
Nicely constructed video which has been said before would have been more interesting with say some gentle piano music. Filming wise - some shaky shots would have been better using a tripod, and personally I prefer "zooming out" than "zooming in" as it's more pleasing on the eye to take in the scenery. However, well done anyway!
Hi Lisa, glad you enjoyed it.
That was beautiful to watch wish I could visit there
one of my favourite places
Folkestone's seafront and the JG's Rotunda Amusement Park was good back in it's day. Unfortunately there's nothing there now.
Enjoy it. Great place to explore.
Looks a lovely place.coming to tregarton park with our caravan and plan to visit.defo will now.

It is a great place to visit , not only to see the cottages, but the fish farm as well.

Nice quaint place bakewell famous for its tarts the ones you eat of course
Loved growing up in Evesham playing down the park and going in those little peddle boats was ace lol dunno so much now as a grown woman
Haha I love how on this it looks so lash and peacegul but in reality it's chavvy and there's just a load of kids running round ennit
Always an old lady feeding the ducks. lol That would be me too.
Thanks a lot for this beautiful & informative tour.
Haha I Live In Evesham!! It's Shit!!! There's Absolutely Nothing To Do There!!! It Might Look Nice But Really There Is Nothing To Do There!!!
This is a truth about small English towns & villages . It's good for aged retired people . Right ?
Try Redditch then son biggest cesspit in worcestershire
And eastern European tramps
I live about 20 minutes away from bakewell and have always taken it for granted as I've never thought of it as anything special. To me it's just some normal little village lol
