im a record producer & I never realized how messy this song sounds. the arrangement & performances are super clean but the sound is messy. guess that's what gives it such a "cool" feeling.
I hope he doesn't ever read into garbage questions like this because rather than staying in the same state Alex has and is evolved/evolving - you know as people get older, some of that stuff you did when you were young doesn't stick like it did, but you evolve it - rush is an excellent example of this. Alex and his style have aged like the best bottle of red wine in the world. He's breaking new ground - if i want to hear some of his older impossible to reproduce stuff like from the ritz to the rubble I'll listen to that - his newer stuff is built brand new from the ground up and its breaking new ground - Going back to rush , I'm sure people generations before me criticized or pondered the new direction taken in the 80s to synth wave - but today that's what I love about rush - they reinvented their sound every album in sort of era phases - AM is built to last and I just want to watch the chips fall where they may because from the inception to the present it's been one hell of a ride - there is no better active band or artist for that matter that is out there the way Alex and AM are. I hope we're discussing this decades from now when he's as old as tony bennett - blowing our very old minds
Poor man's Radiohead.
this is incredible, great editing capturing so many aspects of the construction of this banger 🥲 lots of hugs from Brazil 🇧🇷
This sony is plagiarism Air - Sexy boy, If they don't say it's a sample, then it's plagiarism.
👏
I fucking hated this song at the time and hearing it again now it’s just as terrible and I hate it even more. What’s shit band.
Good thing is they come up with the final idea of the song.
OOS is peak Muse
Why is Bruno on the cover of the video? 😂
We all know why his vocals changed…he went to America and shall we say, sniffed some things. That’s why his voice is starting to slow down. 😎
I showed that song to my dad and he thought it was radiohead
Will make sure to learn this, cheers pal! 😁👍
The guy is 38 years old now...there is no reason for him to re-hash his old emotions and life. - His acne is gone and he probably uses nice cologne with his wardrobe now - he is mature.
smoked a joint and had a beer with Chris a couple times, what a top man.
Used to be a rapper
Thank you! Was trying to explain to someone how “the vocal in the verse flits around and above the music.” This video said what I couldn’t quite express. ❤
Este video es hermoso
Perfect !
Funny its in Am pitch, wonder if it was intentional lol
great video, well made, thank you
How the influence of The Beatles is noticeable! Since I heard the song for the first time I noticed that detail, it reminds me of "Tomorrow never knows" (what a great album "Revolver' is!). 🤩
don't really listen to rock till i discovered muse and this is my favorite muse song, it was starlight but i over listened to it 😂😂
Idk the guy and I know my opinion is irrelevant but I think he’s a bit of a tw@
Amazing video dude, it felt like 3 minutes. Thank you so much
Basically what’s happened is they were great. Now they are shite
IDK why i was entirely convinced that the song is about guitars
They used falsetto on the first 2 albums?!
No, on the last 2
I was sat in a GCSE English class and a mate pulled out his cassette player, listen to this "Plug In Baby", what an eargasm that was! I listened to Plug in Baby again whilst in detention.
Wow man !!!!!!❤
they recorded it, brickwalled the mastering and shat it out. saved you 12 minutes
Greaaat video mate. I hope you gonna do more content releasing about this amazing band
Bunch of gay junkies
Every few months I circle back to rewatching this & My Propellor. Amazing work as always. Thank you for the music Marc!
I don’t think his vocals have gotten worse, I just think that he’s changed the tambre of his voice over the years to suit their newer, softer style. His voice has evolved to be a lot softer and melodic. If anything I think his voice has gotten better and more refined
Plug in baby. Like an electronic baby.
What about play it backwards with that notes
Nice made video. ❤
I honestly appreciate the demo lyrics of this song more because I think they tie in perfectly with the whole "fear and hope of technology" Matt was talking (well, rambling), about in an interview: "I never meant to love these machines/But they obey my commands adeptly" in particular. It's something that pops up in some of the b-sides written around that period as well (Pink Ego Box, anyone?), and in general it's just such a common theme around the turn of the millennium (the advent of the Internet, Y2K and so on). A bit less nonsense than magic mushrooms, at least.
When my time is up. My only Regret will be never seeing Queen Live! Freddie Mercury Will Always Be the BEST of the BEST! He had more Talent in his Little Finger than most! As a Front Man, WOW. Science is still studying His Vocal Range, Calling Him Unbelievable! I Love Queen. But my Heart Belongs to Freddie! RIP Freddie Mercury ❤❤
I love their new music. Really tasteful scores. Almost film like. Dudes are aging and getting more sophisticated in their composition. His old work is there for listening.
you should more videos i found your channel today
AM is retiring in 2024 😢💔. Bizzare band.
Unpopular opinion... i guess.. i love the band and their first songs alot. But the new stuff is so much better. It sounds so poetic and amazing where their younger songs sound like F boy music. Which isnt bad .. but just shallow. Their peotry is better
Love to see mention of TLSP because I love those 2 albums to death. I agree old Arctic monkeys vs new sound like two completely different things. It’s only a bad thing if people expect artists to do the same thing for the rest of their lives. Personally, I enjoy both equally, not because they’re the arctic monkeys, but because the music is GREAT.
....can someone write chords?
Dm and Em during the whole song
The best band of early 2000s. They sold themselves from Blackholes and Revelations.
No
Just seeing those video game characters takes me back
Demo sounds like Dani California?
