It was extremely mediocre.
@@torque8118 I liked it more than that, but I do understand people thinking it was just okay. The movie doesn’t explore much originality within the series. It is simply those older films made with today’s technology.
The first one was bad enough! 😂
Subbed. This movie didn't need a reboot revision... especially when this doesn't compare to any of the original material.
For real, the original is untouchable, thanks for watching and subbing!

Just subscribed. And no, the Crow legacy should’ve just been cemented in the first movie, and left at that.

Exactly my thoughts, thanks for watching!
I agree. I enjoyed this timeline/storyline of Bruce Wayne becoming Batman. I can’t think of another show or movie that took its time giving us the details on how becoming the Batman didn’t just come in one thought but through out multiple experiences that built that entity in Bruce’s mind. Great video, bro!
@@carvalhocarv8835 thanks for the comment! We thought Gotham deserved a look 10 years later! It’s not doing anything insanely different with Bruce’s origin, but it does do an amazing job at telling his origin story In detail we’ve never seen! Thanks for watching Television Tuesday!
Why did the Company try to harvest and control the Xenomorph? Or why did the Cult of Thorn try to control Michael Myers? This can be asked about any horror movie villain ever - why are you doing what you're doing? I loved your review, BTW; I just subscribed.
@@bpo1975 Thanks for the sub! We’re always welcoming different opinions here as well! I do say that the why can be important. In the case of Alien there is a whole franchise building off of the suspense and muster of the why! Take a film like Hereditary and you find the why is a deal with a demon! I struggled to find many explanations here, but I agree sometimes that can be the fun part! Thanks for the comment!
This is Disneys first Alien movie, and it speaks for itself. It's the Force Awakens of the Alien franchise. The writing is hilariously incompetent. Too many memberberries and ridiculous, loud jump-scares, but if they didnt keep you cringing, you'd notice how silly it is. I appreciate this review though. It's not NOT worth a watch, but it saddens me that it's getting such blind praise. The production is fantastic, just needed to be better written. The company's obsessed with the alien. It's the most important thing there is to them, but they just forgot about their trillion dollar space station with all the aliens on it? It's exhausting watching this movie and having every set-piece be forced. If any smart decisions were made, the movie couldn't happen.
@@ButrzV2 I agree and disagree with you at times. While I can definitely agree the writing was lazy and there are so many plot points recycled from all of the other films. And you’re right it definitely makes no sense for them to leave the ship full of aliens out there.
I can definitely agree with it being a bit of a Force Awakens of the Alien franchise. Though I'll say I think the approach Romulus took was far better than Force Awakens. As for the space station, I took it as being not abandoned but maybe offline for a relatively short amount of time, given that some communications can take a minimum of six months to travel to the company and they had only brought the Xenomorph on the space station 170 days prior to Rain boarding it. I really appreciate your comment and perspective as well, thanks for watching!
Today I went and saw this film again in 4DX, the alien came out and fucked me.

@@Studio24Film it was good in creating an haunting atmosphere. Really nice sets and photography. It could have been a modern version of "silence of the lambs", and the whole story moved in this serial killer thriller direction, but pretty soon you could easily predict what happens next (the mother is the key). And the female lead character had no struggles to get to the next story point. Boring linearity. In the end they flipped to the paranormal, ghostly, satanic side to explain the modus operandi in a lazy finale. To me it was everything but scary, but it could have been, if they stuck to the promise they laid out in ⅔ of the movie. But no, it was satan all the time, boo! It's a 5/10 because of the visuals and atmosphere.
@@_angstlust_ I agree ! this was my first horror movie in theaters, and I enjoyed it don't get me wrong, but I 100% agree that it was predictable and the ending seemed very lazy, I don't like that they just went with the paranormal when the rest of the movie basically had nothing to do with dark magic
This is SOooo not a masterpiece, at all. Hereditary is a horror masterpiece. This movie is so disjointed. Makes no sense. Nothing tied together. The trend of this movie on CZcams mania is as baffling as the mess that was Late Night with the Devil. Yuck

@@Sorran87 What was your beef with it?
This movie just hit different. They made justice for the characters while destroying them completely (Wolverine, Blade, Elektra, etc), and that is super impressive by itself. Marvel needs authenticity, and this movie just proved it. It could be a boring movie with a disposable villain, like most Marvel movies, this one has that formula too. But the difference is that this movie has heart, who knew Deadpool was going to be Marvel Jesus for real.
@@youngtaco1892 absolutely agree. Deadpool and wolverine is a perfect change in the typical formula as well. Thanks for watching our show!!

@@kennethellingsen5902 seems to be the majority opinion. Hard for me to say I prefer episode 8 to this though.
I've been pretty vocal on this site about my distaste for this production, but the premise itself isn't bad--having an isolated cult use Sith magic to reproduce honestly could have been a fantastic idea. Frankly, the US has a dark history when it comes to religious cults so it's a big ask to present this group which an entire *galaxy* has rejected and see them as the good guys. Frankly the force witches remind me of Warren Jeff's FLDS cult. The story presents the Jedi as oppressive busybodies that stuck their noses where they weren't welcome and ruined an otherwise peaceful community; It is the language of abusers. I know that language like I know the pit in my stomach. And to make it worse, the story ends with the "hero" ending up with the Sith suggests that the cycle of abuse is something to embrace, and that the audience should see this as a satisfactory conclusion because "there's no such thing as good or evil, only shades of grey". While this is true, it's presented in the simpering, ingratiating fashion of an abuser coaxing permission out from their victim. Even writing this out I feel repulsed. Not even Rings of Power got such a reaction from me, which while pontificating and self-congratulatory, did not leave me feeling sick. Watching the Acolyte is like being read a bedtime story by Warren Jeffs, or worse, a willing believer whose moral compass has been warped by years of proximity to powerful, abusive authority figures in isolated and culturally domineering environments. Given Leslye Headland's history, I can understand why she would tell this story in this way--and for that reason, I will have nothing to do with the Acolyte or anything Leslye Headland produces.
@@ApocGenesis thanks for sharing your opinion here! What I hate the most is just seeing so many star wars fans disappointed by the recent projects. Seems like Disney refuses to hear the fan base.
@@Studio24Film Michaéla Schipper's research on organizational collapse says that companies (and countries) can fall due to "continuous flawed decision making, myopic single-minded focus on one (set of) solution(s), resource loss, denial, distrust, micromanagement, dogmatic thinking and learned helplessness." Disney seems to check at least a few of these boxes, I feel.
Well done video. Im old enough to have experienced the OT in real time, and as a kid, really was head over heels for it. As i grew older my fandom took a backseat, but Ive always maintained a somewhat detached interest. That being said, Ive watched all of the Disney Star Wars content, just to see what all the discourse was about. In my opinion, the basic fundamentals of storytelling such as writing, directing, and acting have all suffered under Disney. Combine that with a president (KK) that seems hellbent on doubling down on taking SW in directions that, while interesting, lack any structure or acknowledgement that just maybe a break is needed. Disney is not some avant garde hub for artistic expressions, they are a multi billion dollar corporation that has bought a franchise built entirely by generations of fans. And it appears to me that they are producing content that is actively dividing a fan base. For them to act surprised or offended by negative reactions is disingenuous.
@@jeremypage3370 Very well spoken I agree. I look back and think about how George Lucas comes from one of the first film school generations of filmmakers and it was genuinely harder to make films and this resulted in filmmakers working harder to achieve what they wanted. Like you said the filmmaking in star wars today feels like it lacks artistry.
I'm 💯 not into it
@@lagwall this seems to be the majority opinion in our CZcams shorts comment section as well. I’m trying not to hate it before it comes out, but I do see it as a strange pick. Thanks for watching our show and sharing your opinion!
In an effort to be positive, I will say that the show had some interesting premises that if competently handled could have been intriguing. The fight choreography was also easily the best of Disney Star Wars. I think Squid Game Guy and his padawan were also fairly likeable. I will admit I didn't mind spending 30 mins a week on this show, but the writing was a trainwreck. I walked away feeling like there was no protagonist and no point. Unlike TLJ however, it feels like they at least tried to make something fans would like and simply lacked the skill.
@@seriouslyrelax your comment sums up my thoughts well glad to see other people think the same! Definitely agree with what you said about Disney fight scenes. Thanks for watching Television Tuesday!

My hair was bad in this video, much like this movie.
Season 4 suffered from giant pacing issues, lack of focus, meandering plot, unintelligent characters who make dumb decisions, parodical shock value, and an unenticing climax at the end of it all. It's essentially Rick and Morty season 3 all over again - a bad parody of its former self. Knew it was coming with the musical number from season 3, but hoped for the better. Too bad this show went down the trash chute.
If there's one upside from all this, it's that at least you can skip the WHOLE season and come back when season 5 comes in and hopefully ACTUALLY develops the plot.
