Loquat is an invasive species.
Good video, indeed pulses can neutralize excessive air temperature, thank you friend.
Great video, thank you for sharing.
Thanks as always for watching and for the support.
Over here in Cape Town, South Africa, the Loquat trees are just neglected and do just fine.
Nice, I have poor soil, planted some trees grown from seed or cutting, some died, but they fed the soil, more cuttings and grown from seed to follow, survive or die, feed my soil.
That's the natural cycle and progression. Soon your soil will not be poor and will be awesome!
Very useful knowledge for farmers, thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching and for the nice comment!
And yes I have those orange bells and I have the yellow bells and I've planted pigeon peas everywhere to give me some natural shade cover right where I need it. Talian of these are miracle plants they drop their leaves and they're making my ground look like a forest I love it
You know I work so hard to bring life to my backyard here outside of Phoenix Arizona. So when I'm not going to plant something in a particular area I buy clover seed and put it down on purpose. The one thing I am having problems with is the Bermuda grass that's coming from my neighbor's side. They just use their backyard like a junkyard. Seriously like a junkyard I'm not kidding and I've complained to the town and the town doesn't do anything. I don't know what to do to keep this Bermuda grass from growing on my side it goes under the fence. And it's going into the area where I have my beans planted and I'm trying to keep it out of there if you or somebody else has any suggestions about this grass please let me know
Thanks for watching and for the comment. Good job putting clover down where nothing is being planted! For Bermuda, they best thing to get rid of it is shade. Bermuda hates shade. So plants trees and shrubs in that area and that will help. Also, pull it or cut it and use it as mulch. As long as it hasn't gone to seed, it will not spread and makes a great mulch that all your plants will love. It holds in moisture and breaks down very quickly, adding nutrients to the soil. Good luck!
Should people planting anything next to their foundation ? Do gardeners consider all the constant moisture seeping into the foundation of the home?
I don't know what your Bamboo varieties are, beside Buddha Belly, since there's thousands of different ones. But, I'm sure you know that only about 10% of the varieties are edible. The edible ones are in 3 categories; Excellent, Good and OK. I have two varieties, and they are both the clumping kind. Really beautiful. One of them edible (Hawaian Golden Bamboo). However, even the edible ones contain Taxiphyllin, which is a type of Cyanide. This is why all Bamboo shoots must be cooked in order to be used as food.
Great greenhouse video, I love watching it.
Thanks for watching!
@0:44 - it's funny you say "they can live off just eating the leaves" because if anyone remember the Eddy Murphy movie, 'The Golden Child', the character in the movie, the Golden Child is sustaining himself on a sprig from a tree and is noted to be snacking on single leaves throughout his abduction. It would make sense that he is eating moringa leaves.
Yard looks great!
Thanks!
I have moringa in my north central Florida food forest yarden. completely neglected, lots of shade. It breaks in the winter, bows under vines, just keeps plugging. One winter the leaves froze and I had freeze dried leaves. I just eat some whenever I go by it. However, University of Florida says it has a high risk of becoming an invasive, so PLEASE please be really careful of where and how you plant it. Mine will be monitored and removed when I'm removed so seeds don't spread. I have so many invasives now to deal with here (air potato, mimosa, etc).
No growth since planting two plus years ago. Far west Texas desert.
How much sun is it getting?
They're all in full sun. I added composted cow manure and thicker mulch, knew I should have but didn't make the time before. Very hot and windy here. Maybe your three year rule applies though.
Bioavailability is a thing man. I grow this tree, in fact I intend to grow and sell it but health benefits need to be stated with medical truths, eat it with fats my brothers. Bioavailability is low without dietary fats.
Love it
Can I cut the bamboo in my apartment complex and grow ut in my parents yard, how?
Check out videos about how to propagate bamboo.
I have bamboo from my neighbours😮 i have growing three sticks in my garden.
No one told me once they get going they will grow a foot a day… lol Tampa Florida here 🌴😎✌️
No water for Moringa trees? Hard to believe. It's beautiful.
I order bee venom online and inject it with diabetic needles for my fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis pain! I've tried everything else but this is the best anti inflammatory I've ever used. I'll never take drs drugs again! The temporary sting is well worth a week of relief!
japanese beetles are bad in my area(southern east North carolina)😢😢😢
Hi
Thank you for the information for my grape vine. I see some people are the kid police ... Geez ... I think it's wonderful to be gardening with your kid.
I put a banana plant in the ground and shortly afterwards got some cold and wet whether. The plant rotted and fell over. I thought it was gone but a few weeks later it came back and started growing again.
Thanks for this video. I have like 11 small pups on my potted puerto Rican plantain tree! (Very similar to a banana tree.). They each just have one leaf. I removed two but also broke two. I think the optimal size is to let it grow at least maybe as thick as a quarter so I can pry them out. Even digging with my fingers they are very delicate and the stem is likely to break.
Did he say it grows 20-30 feet a year? That seems wrong since it only gets 25-30 ft high and wide in total.
Yes, this is because I cut it down every year to about a 5 foot stump. Then it grows right back to it's full height in one summer. Sorry, I see how that can be misleading.
What size pot is it in?
It's been a while, but I think this was a 15 gallon.
Help! I am a beginner at planting. A friend of mine cut out a pup and brought it to me in a pot. I think I overwatered it. It looks dead. Is it something that can still grow (similar to planting seeds), if I replant it in the ground?
Will the maringa tree survive 7b winters?
Probably not.
I've planted them for myself and the birds. I like to provide forage for all the wild twitter-budgies.
Any experience with gophers and this tree?
Fortunately, I don't have them in my area. So sorry, no experience.
Great video. Looking for plants for erosion control. Where can the grass be purchased? Interested in selling me few cuttings? I’m in Southern California
What is the name of the dark green plant left of the Moringa tree? I live in the Phoenix area .
I believe you're referencing my mango tree.
I cut my bananas tree rather getting into the root will it survive???
Should be fine.
Nicotine trees grow very fast but can be invasive.
Will it grow in Oregon, it’s very wet and cool/ cold more than half the year.
Probably not warm enough.
I purchased fruit bags from Amazon that you can place on the pomegranate. This acts as a physical barrier. So far, it looks like it is working, and I am not seeing any leaf footed bugs on the fruits.
Good luck! They are the worst!
Hi! Which seed varieties did you find were polyembryonic? I was able to make out Spirit of 76 and Duncan in your previous video. I’d love a video on just the successful Poly varieties! Thanks 😊
Did you use any fertilizer on your tree
None. Except for tons of mulch that breaks down and feeds the tree.
Where do you order your mangoes from? I’d love to plant a polyembryonic Orange Sherbet!
I buy grafted ones from Shamus O’Leary here in the Phoenix area. I also mail order actual mango fruit from a number of different nurseries in Florida. I eat the mango and then plant the seeds!
@@TheGardenNerd Yes, I’ve bought my mango trees from Shamus too, but have been wanting to try growing one from seed. You started me thinking and I have already found a few sites where I can order some fruit. Thanks!
Hi there! Greetings from Brazil! Just stopped by to say that I love your channel, your way of gardening and admire your work!
So nice of you, thank you for watching and happy gardening!
Can you spray that soap on the grapes themselves? Is it safe?
Sure, just make sure to rinse before you eat.
You need some work boots broskie! much love. I will try clumping in north Texas very soon. Thanks So Much!!!
Haha, yes, I do. I'm a simple man and almost always roll with the sandals.
Kid playing with insecticide, chemicals are poison... hope you're not putting that top in your mouth while dad is busy making CZcams content and ignoring you with the chemicals.
Where were you a few years ago when I made this video? I could have used your parenting advice back then. Too late now...that kid of mine grew an extra big toe and has 3 thumbs now...probably because of the insecticides I was allowing him to drink while I ignored him to make this video. It was probably worth it though because ignoring him allowed me to make this video, which you were able to watch and then take the time to make this comment. Without this video, you'd probably still be in your parents basement, watching random videos and making criticizing comments to people you know nothing about. Thanks for watching!
Does a banana pup, after replanting, develop its own rhizome?
Yes!
Looks great, thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Looks awesome. Looking forward to the updates when everything establishes. BTW, where did you get your plants from?
I'll for sure keep you all updated. Thanks for watching. I bought all of these at A&P Nursery. One of my favorite nurseries.
I have a tree in Chatsworth Durban for 40 years ❤
