The end has a certain punch, but WOW the acting (or complete lack thereof). Good lord.

It's a shame the cliffhanger endings of the episodic version of 'Steel Riders' have been lost in this movie-length edit. The best episode ending, in my view, is that of Episode 5. Sandra struggles with the Spook in the cellar where Gary has been imprisoned, during which the Spook's helmet is knocked to the floor. Sandra and Gary look up at the Spook's true features - but only they, not the audience, see who he really is. "You! It was you!" gasps Sandra. Freeze-frame. Roll credits. Great stuff!😀

It's strange how I can't stop thinking why women paint their faces and men don't? Who makes all these rules? Their eyes are particularly so thickly covered in black mascara. It's a very unequal world we're living in, as men have to be born handsome but women can paint a different face on their face, every day! And everyone can tell it's a paint, yet these women walk around pretending they were born looking like this. We're still a very primitive species. I've heard that the British Airwaves is allowing now the male staff to wear makeup to work. That's progress.

When my sister, my friends and I were kids we adored Lindsay Wagner on the Bionic Woman. By the time that this show came out, I was a teenager and was busy with other things so I never saw it. It seems pretty typical of this sort of show of which there were many in the 70s and 80s. Today it seems quite cliche. I wonder if Wagner is a better actor than what came through in this show. Perhaps the writing wasn't the best. I will watch an episode or 2 more to see what I think. Thanks for posting it.

Thanks for posting! I just learned about this show today, and I’ve been on a deep dive since. I loved all of Spelling’s shows from the 80s. This one seems very interesting. Perhaps if it had a better time slot it would be lasted longer than a season. Kinda surprised to see some of the guest stars from other shows. CBS let Joan cross over to another soap? 🤷🏿
