Blue Heron Bridge
Took a weekend scuba diving trip to Palm Beach Florida. While we were there, we stopped at Phil Foster Park on Blue Heron Blvd in Riviera Beach. The park is a nice place to launch a boat or swim straight from the bank. The water is clear and full of sea life. This turned out to be a great place, and I would highly suggest a visit.
There is no charge to get into the park but go early because it fills up very fast. Best dive times are 1/2 hour before to 1/2 hour after high tide due to quickly diminishing visibility conditions.
Camera used was an Akaso EK7000 in a waterproof housing.

Scallops? Nope!

It's late in the season for scallops, but I decided to take a little trip out to the grass flats and see if I could find any. Did not find any in the area that I was in so I just enjoyed the water time (you can't go wrong taking in a little scuba diving). Did come across a starfish and a couple of other odd things. Sasi is our 1982 34' Irwin Sailboat. This is compilation random videos we took of our boat Sasi. After a few trips down to look the boat over, we agreed on a price and purchased her. Some of this video shows Sasi being pulled out of the water for bottom inspection and then the trip home. We were in no hurry in our trip back so we sailed mostly during early morning up into evening anchoring out ...
Kings Bay, King Spring and Three Sisters springs in Crystal River, FL

We took a little scuba diving trip to see the King Spring at the head of Kings Bay. After diving down to the mouth of the spring, we decided to head over to Three Sisters Springs. The weather started out questionable with rain and overcast but soon cleared. You can get a good idea of what the springs look like here. Camera Akaso EK 7000 in waterproof house strapped to my hand.
Carburetor replacement on Ariens law mower with Briggs & Stratton engine

I started having problems with my lawn mower leaking fuel and surging while running. For a temporary fix, I added a fuel cut off valve inline but finally got around to fixing it. (Correction Carburetor was $20.73 with free shipping) I found complete carburetors on eBay for $20.73 and decided I would take a chance on one. This video shows the complete carburetor package and the steps in replacem...

DIY reptile (snake, lizard, gecko, bearded dragon) cage/enclosure creation and building with wood

This was just a simple project to show how I design my own cages using Google Sketchup. I’m not a pro at using this software but I have been able to successfully make plans for many different projects from cages to furniture. This project was a 12x12x24” reptile cage that I plan on building and using for Leopard geckos. I will make another video of the actual cage build itself to help give you ...
DIY Rat breeding Rack

An old video of the rack systems I used to breed my feeder rats on. Construction is made with 1x2's, 1/2" hardware cloth and concrete mixing tubs purchased from one of the big box stores. Construction for this project is very easy and can be tackled by any skill level. Rats were bred in colonies of one male and three females. The rats are easily able to eat the feed through the top of the scree...
DIY wooden reptile cage

This is a cage that I built a while back using inexpensive materials from the big box store. It was very easy to build and looks great! Super light weight and depending on how you make the top they can easily be stack-able. The whole project can be built for an estimated $60 with all materials. The sounds quality is very bad and that I apologize for, but I will be building more cages in the nea...
Feeding baby corn snakes for the first time

Had lots of questions about what do I feed my new corn snakes. Here is a video answer to just that question. This does not really go into depth of the hard start snakes. There are many other videos out there that go into depth on assist feeding hard starters or snakes that just stop eating. As always hope you enjoy. DIY leopard gecko feed dishes.

Easy to make feeder for food, water and calcium powder that I use for my leopard geckos. You can customize it for any reptile or small animal.
This would've been great if the camera was angled to see what you were taking off. Couldn't see if either screen.
Thanks for the feedback, sorry for the quality.
epic video. I love doing my hobbies in the garage when it's storming out.
Great help same issue with mines
And what size screen so mice don't get out?
1/4” or 1/4” works best.
Can I plz get measurements as well cat litter size tubs for this specific build?
This video was shot 11 years ago, that being said I don't believe they even make these tubs any longer. As for the size of the wire I used it was 1/4" and ideally 1/3" inch wich is harder to find. I have successfully used some Sterilite tubs from Walmart in place of the old cat litter tubs. Hope this helps.
@@Norrad01 Ohdoeshelpthankyou
How long does it take from them to turn to beetles if you dnt have them in the fridge
If memory serves they have about a 7 week cycle from egg to beetle.
@@Norrad01 lol I’ll probably put them in the fridge I dnt think my gecko can go through 1000 in that amount of time thanks for the reply
do you know where to get the # for the carbs. ? all the carbs I look at on ebay or anyplace else have a lot of numbers. your vid was no help
Wish you would have kept going. You're very close to me in Florida. Probably would have bought some worms off ya.
My baby mealworms are escape from the plastic box what can I do pls
What kind of box is this? Mealworms can't climb smooth plastic.
@@Norrad01 it's a storage box plastic
@@kevinfarrugia9525 Does it have smooth sides or is there any texture to it? If the sides are smooth like the ones I'm using in this video they will not be able to climb out.
Unfortunately you are not showing the screws or nuts that you are removing
My apologies, for what it's worth there are not very many screws in the whole process they are pretty easy to change. One word of suggestion is to take pictures as you go for reference.
You are correct about me viewing the area. And, I'm the one that needs to apologize. I was reviewing the video for my son, since he's the one working on the Ariens. He saw the video and went over the machine there's nothing to it's self explanatory. Thank you
@@virgiliogonzalez8976 No worries at all. Hope everything works out good and if I can be of any help please feel free to ask.
i know this is long ago but do u know how i can seperate the beetles from the worms?
I used these pans with a 5-gallon bucket to separate beetles from worms and smaller sizes I used to separate worms from castings. a.co/d/0HsAzRm
@@Norrad01 thank you👍✨
I buy cheap carbs on ebay for everything. $12 for weed whackers up to $20 for a dirtbike. Never had an issue with one. Every single one runs out of the box and has lasted me 5+ years. And like you said the cost is cheaper than a rebuild.
I’ve only had an issue with one. As a matter of fact it was the one in this video. Started a little surging again, but to be fair it may have picked up a little trash from the fuel line. I replaced it the second time a while back and the mower still runs like a champ. I have also replaced the carb on my Ryobi weed eater with a similar one and no problems there either.
Too broad a view
Royal 💜 I see you're in citrus county..thank you for the video..im excited to start mine for all our critters
Good luck to you 😊
So I see this video is several years old. I heard that thunder, and I said sounds like a FL storm. Then you talked about Ocala distributor. So I figured you are in FL. I have just ordered meal worms and red wigglers. I was going to raise them on my covered screened porch, but now I don’t know. I live in S FL, and I’m wondering if the hot humid summer months might be to hot for them. What do you think about it, as if your in Central FL, we get 10 to 20 degrees hotter here in S FL.
Good morning. You shouldn’t have any issues with the heat factor (they breed better in warmer temperatures). The humidity could be an issue with mold and if you picked up a bag of bran that has mights in it. Mights LOVE humidity and reproduce like crazy. The wiggler worms I’m not sure about I had started a project with them some years ago but didn’t stick with it very long. One last not to keep in mind with the mealworms on a porch is cooler temperatures will slow down the production.
Exactly what my Ariens did from day one. Quite the surprise to find the cylinder slap full of gas, which leaked into the oil pan. Installing a shut off valve was a short term fix, just shut it off and let it idle until the carb runs dry. But if you forget to shut off the gas, here we go again. I think the supplied hose with the 90° bend in it was to be used where the 90° elbow on the original carb was. Your gas line may eventually kink shut being bent to accommodate the straight inlet pipe.
Been there myself. That was the reason I first changed the carb out. Got tired of changing gas/oil when I did forget to close the valve. Glad I’m not the only one haha
@@Norrad01 also a tip don’t buy gas station gas cause it sticks during the winter there’s places that don’t have ethanol
@@swayzz3775 that is a very good tip. I learned a costly lesson about regular pump gas in my boat. It has an in hull tank and running pump gas wicked in moisture which got into the motor and caused a screen filter to corrode in the fuel injection system. Pump gas are bad, non-ethanol are good! 😂
Great video. As a fellow Floridian I guessed where you were before you told us. The crashing lightning is a Florida trademark.
Haha and the weather went bad real fast after that.
Definitely worth the $40 frass is expensive not to mention every stage of life, plus the container cost. The mill worms at the store is $3.50 per 25 count so yeah it’s worth the measly $40 bucks!
I can't see what your doing!
For me I put him in a deli cup in a room that rarely gets used put a pinkie in at 8pm turned all the lights off and left the room. when I came back at 10pm the food was gone and he had a nice little belly lump.
Nice job. Gonna give it a whirl
The two front bolts are shorter, and the two back ones are the long ones.
The water quality looks bad compared to when we used to dive there years ago
That day was a bit worse due to bad weather. That being said, there are so many people frequenting the area the waters are going downhill.
why wasn't the grill removed for easy observation of thw work you did.
I believe the hood just lifts off once it is raised. Also, it would have been nicer if the camera was closer and the pic in pic was not used. Just my observation. This job is so easy on this model tractor, try changing the carb on a Honda Harmony II push mower. That is really difficult.
I just bought mine and he's about 5 weeks old. I fed him the first day cause the pet store hadn't fed him in awhile. I didn't use tongs I just gently sat it down in front of him. He smelled it for a few seconds then gently and slowly started to swallow him. Is that okay?
More than ok, this is perfect!
where would you sell them
i live in montana. what temp range can they live in?
Thank you so much for the program drop! Will definitely be using it, have you ever used PVC or do you personally think wood and glass or plexiglass is a better alternative?
this reminds me of solid works
They do smell 🤣
Are them cat litter tubs?
All that ratchet srewin gave me a headache
I raise mealworms for my chickens never thought to sell them I have over a million of them or more
Crickets and Dubai roaches are the healthiest for leopard geckos
I cant get the studs for the carb out. The nut screws off and leaves the stud in
Hiw long do you leave them to make the frass after putting the wheat bran in the container
Definitely not 50 thousand worms. Maybe 5000. Nice video, but you didnt get an amazing deal imo just picked up 1k worms for 16 dollars shipped so just over a penny each. Good luck and have a nice life!
Did you ever do the follow up videos?
love the video... short and to the point. i will continue to watch.
So ive got 1 large bin each of meal worms and superworms. A few pupaes already but just starting out... Im looking to just feed my geckos for now but if i wanted to make some money, how large of an operation would i need to make say... an extra 300 a week?
Can I use Zoo Med's - Eco Earth Coconut Fiber as a substrate for breading meal worms and super worm? Will I need bran or any additional food source or can I just use the Coconut Fiber without any other food source?
oats, mealworm bran
I do not understand why you would throw the beetles away? It takes roughly 6-8 months to go through life stages. I would also worry how long the worms had been in the container without food and water. Too long and they would emerge deformed and no good for breeding. With the beetles at least you can get eggs and control their development.
Are you on FB I'd like to contact you about certain questions regarding cornsnakes
Where do you sell the worms/frass to?
How long does it take for the eggs to hatch
mine is about the same age and size but she won’t eat
Corn snakes need heat (heat pad/heat lamp) to live!
I got a 5 month old 2 weeks ago, and it has not fed for me. I wish mine was this easy.
I'm super late but you should put him in a small, round container with the pinky.
Did you keep at it?
