That value to add was never meant to be taken literally but rather just seen the same way Greek Mythology is. People's perception growing and gaining value means understanding not to take them literally. I never said I had any disgust for them lol. Frankly I think the religions were specifically created as fairytales and the creators wouldn't want people to take them so seriously. I have dug into them. I have been an Atheist for 20 years and have been proselytized to by endless religious people and dug through various religions throughout those 20 years. I'm not a teenager, I'm in my 30s. It is through all of that wisdom that I created this video. I think you should take your own advice. You seem to lack the self awareness that the people around you come to these positions specifically because they have dug through religion and do have wisdom, because maybe you haven't gotten there yet. And that's ok, everyone goes at their own pace, but I have learned a lot in my time and have a lot to share and that's what I'm going to do.

​@@KristinNirvana Yeah taking things literally and without perspective is a mistake and I never wanted to imply such thing. Look at extremists. The wisdom religions add is sometimes literal and straight forward and some other needs the right interpretation. There is this whole perception of people in the past being just dumb taking things literally but I think that is underestimating/misinterpreting them and just thinking we are much superior (Which looking at the state of the world makes me doubt it). I thought you have contempt based essentially on the fact that all your points are conveniently just the exact opposite and because you mentioned satanists. Which is just a tantrum against Christianity in the case of the atheistic version. The theistic one leans towards and/or "do" witchcraft so... I highly disregard them. Even if some of their points try to be rational (to show superiority imo). I think religions being fairytales is quite reductionist. Religions compromise much more than "tales", identity, principles, values, belief sytems, rituals, organization, etc. My bad, you look quite young (I'm jealous) and I was a fan of Nirvana as a teenager so I assumed but I guess teenagers now just listen to gangster music lol. Well, as a person keen on history and theology (you can be atheist and have interest for religions as a phenomenon) you sound pretty biased and based on superficial opinions more than specific knowledge. How do I lack that self awareness exactly? sorry if I ofended you. But yeah I have to and try to take my advice as better as I can. Ego is definitely our worst enemy. To be honest I think wisdom is in ideas not in people really, because we are emotional and somewhat imperfectible beings, so I wasn't saying you are not wise or anything. It was based on my belief that no one is really wise or should say otherwise. And yeah I do have a long journey ahead of me. Live is very complex and I'm falling short in getting all the knowledge I desire in just one lifetime hahah. And yeah 100% share your opinions. When we share we can grow together. @@TV-om3nx If you can't accept that people have knowledge and that's what they base their opinions on, I don't think you are ready for conversations with people. For instance, Satanists are people who don't even believe in satan and have more knowledge of the fact that satanism isn't some scary edgy thing but rather something that advocates for knowledge and respecting the self than you do. I know many people who are Satanists, and they are average everyday normal people who don't believe in any sort of deity or satan and just like that it teaches people how to question things and advocate for themselves and take care of others. You seem to lack knowledge on things such as satanism, and on how people disagree with you or religion not because they lack knowledge or are trying to be contradictory or are biased but because they know things that you don't. Always remember that making assumptions about people often doesn't work out the way you plan. Another example is that you assumed what I meant by fairytales when what I meant was exactly as you described in your next comment...a set of fairytales with morals at the basis to convey values and create an atmosphere of culture around it. As in, not something to take so seriously but rather to use as a guide and using fantastical characters to do so.

About the satanists it depends as I mentioned whether you are talking about the atheist or the theistic ones. As far as I know the atheist ones base their ideas on rationality in theory. And there are probably very nice people within. But they tend to disprove anything coming from christianity for the simple fact that comes from christianity. Wanna explain why exactly polytheism is like believing in nothing at all? Your statement contained no actual reasoning for your opinion. It's also a logically irrational statement, because believe in anything is by definition believe in something, and not believing in nothing. but I'll wait for you to explain your reasoning.

@@anisarogers9330 The whole idea of one God means that he(or she) is the sole creator. The beginning and the ending. If there are/were multiple gods, then there’s a pecking order(because if there were multiple gods they wouldn’t be all powerful, they’d have limitations), in which case why not just worship the most important one? I wouldn’t say it’s the same as believing in nothing per se, but it becomes almost impossible to decipher how one would give praise or thanks to each and every god. Especially if one is making up one’s own polytheistic religion? Sounds like a very contrived way to do it, which brings us back to this person’s main point, it would essentially become meaningless.

I think it has some interesting aspects and a cool atmosphere, but ultimately I don't believe in anything supernatural.
