THAT RAILWAY NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT!
SMH it’s always west farm borrowing bus from other depots
From the looks of it, this could be a permanent change. These XD40s are getting sent out due to the electric XE40s arriving at Grand Avenue, so it seems they're transferring a few of them to West Farms. They might send more of these out elsewhere.
Is there any difference between these and there r211a?
A few minor differences, the biggest one being the cab signaling in the R211S
Probably because one of their buses just got damaged n is gonna take years for that bus to repair
There are 5 of these currently at WF, along with the 3 from MJQ. This could be a semi-permanent change.
Seeing A Bus from a Brooklyn or queens depot in the bronx I mean it's a first but I really don't see the point of this same contract same company
New signs
So now what, Q53 is now using novas and Xd40s as their new buses?
The Q53 still uses XD60s, but you'll see a Nova or XD40 on the route from time to time. They've been putting the occasional 40-foot bus on the route for years - the Novas and newer XD40s are showing up more often because they're entering service en masse.
“This is a St.George bound local train the next stop is Grant City”.
YESS THE ANNOUNCEMENT REVEAL
R211S Subway Cars On The Staten Island Railway Being Tested Out Already?!:-\
No R62A
I notice a slight difference in the propulsion here.
It was slipping
Yes
Why do they do testing late at night?
Causes less delays for normal trains I think
Avoids passenger confusion and service disruption, as fewer people use trains at night and they run less often.
Less delays and trains
Along with the above reasons, it gives the test train an extra buffer while out on the road. With less trains out in service, the test train won't be as disruptive to service if it has any problems / needs to be rescued.
That dog felt a disturbance in the force when the new train came slipping in
Cool catch
It’s like an announcement reveal.1:40
finally able to hear the announcements, awesome!
It's sad how NYCTA has to give MaBstoa Perfectly maintained buses because they can't even maintain their own buses. Each MabStoa Depot have about 50 buses OOS. It's an embarrassment. But these do look good at WF though.
What the difference mabstoa and nycta ? Why don’t they just combine into nycta?
This blue bus are permanent in this route
Could be better if it transferred to MTA Bus
Better than the C40LF Spectrum
Typical MTA🤦♂️
No worries, it'll be the next LGA (going better)
@@rpm_asphalt9railfanner762say what?
These fit with west farms really good
6:08 This is the only video where we can hear the announcement fully, as other ones were drowned out by the celebrating commuters!
Try to catch xd40 7186 it got loaned to west farms. I just got a scene of it on the bx32
Just caught it this morning! Check the recent upload ;)
Starting to believe LaGuardia really enjoys operating the Novas
Yep.
Seems so. Ops are probably excited to drive a bus that isn't an Xcelsior 😂
Wonderful shot, its pouring buckets, so moody.
This isn’t uncommon for the q53
Yeah, they’ve been putting these out on the route more often since there are more Novas in service. In fact there’s one running right now
Was this the morning because I’m pretty sure the 268 goes to downtown Seattle in the morning
Yep, AM rush heading into Downtown
1. I thought the 53's only use New Flyer Buses 2. I thought the 53's only use Articulated Buses
The Q53 tends to use extra buses during the weekend, so they'll sometimes throw a few standard 40-foot buses on the route from time-to-time for beach-goers. Usually they throw an XD40 on, but LaGuardia is also getting some Novabuses to replace the rest of the Orions, so they put a few of these on the route for the day.
From what I saw yesterday, I believe there were just 2 sets of R62s. From Franklin Av to Flatbush Av riding it back to Times Square, just the other one and the other trains I saw were just regular R142s.
With the (5) only running from Dyre to E 180th, I'm guessing they had a ton of R142s to spare. Though I miss when they used to loan the R62As from the (1)
What don't they use the blue flashing background in the front destination for Select bus like on NYCT routes?
These buses are still fairly new - for whatever reason, the blue background isn't set up for these MTABC SBS routes on the Spectrum signage.
I was right there when it was heading to woodside! (until some people stole my bike and I found it again)
Glad you got your bike back 😅
I saw you rail fanning bro I love your videos I was inside the two train
Luckily I caught some of these out of JA Depot
wow, now these are rare to find in gun Hill since there is only 1
There's 8356 and 8357, but it's still nice to see the last two of these at Gun Hill whenever they pop up 😅
Also it’s not a a shuttle more like a coach
The B93 is considered a shuttle route connecting the (G) line between its split segments.
Yay I live there
dude i was literally a few blocks away tryna get a pic of the b61 at the same time, i saw them pass me
ok i could've worded this better, i was getting a photo of a B61 and when I was walking back to Fulton St I saw two of the NG's and they passed me. I didn't want to run for a photo as my phone was dying so i just saw it and I was like "oh that's cool"
Crazy that you saw this same thing blocks away 😅 it's gonna be weird not seeing these in Brooklyn when these go...
I love this video
your videos are the best
NO WAY THAT WENT TO SECAUCUS RAIL STATION
It didn't, as the 24 doesn't run past there...
Dangg that’s awesome
The B93 loans buses from every Brooklyn depot of NYCT.
The B6 service pattern is confusing. Glad that as part of the Brooklyn Bus Redesign, Sunday service will be added to the B6 Limited!
Doesn't seem that confusing tbh... northbound limiteds run to New Lots, and northbound locals run to Rockaway Parkway. Southbound, everything goes to Bensonhurst except for the few short turns originating from Rockaway Parkway.
Gotta love it when a driver honks the horn
These should be retired soon
I would’ve added “Via 86 St” to the route
They removed that from the signage almost a decade ago! I agree it would've made sense to keep it, but I digress...
Wow, nice catch!! :) This is actually a pretty rare sight to see. An M8 (from the New Haven and New Canaan Lines) on the Hudson Line? The last time I saw an M8 on the Hudson Line was back in 2017 when it was heading towards Croton-Harmon without any automated announcements and destination sign displays. The conductor had to do the announcements manually.
Thanks! This has actually happened before a few times with this particular trip from GCT, but it's nice to see these along the Hudson! 😄
I love buses and trains
