Jedi dying doesn't always mean "oh a Sith killed them". Slight spoilers but in The High Republic books A LOT of Jedi are killed by something and the Jedi don't know what it is (but we the reader do because of multiple POVs in the books). The Jedi eventually do sort of find out and then end up covering it up. So it is not outside the realm of possibility for the Jedi to investigate and sweep it under the rug.

Knights of Ren featured in the Force Awakens, Rise of Skywalker, Rise of Kylo Ren comics, Crimson Reign comics, Hidden Empire comics, Bounty Hunters comics....I don't know maybe you just don't know much about Star Wars?

Either way, they're free to not like The Acolyte for whatever valid or invalid reasons they may have, but people who DO like it should be able to voice that fact without being told that they like something that is "objectively trash".

While it is frustrating that the sequel trilogy was disappointing, that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to enjoy from the shows that are coming out, and there’s honestly a diverse selection to choose from: Two shows about bounty hunters, one about an exiled Jedi, one about the high republic, one without any Jedi at all with heavy emphasis on the brutality of the empire, and one that’s basically the sequel to Star Wars rebels. There’s plenty to enjoy even if one or two isn’t to everyone’s taste.

That does not ring any bells to me. Possibly something in a fan project like Deathtroopers: The Outpost? Or maybe something involving a Starweird. I'm really not sure, but I'm interested now.

I also remember hearing about it, I think they are creatures which can only be seen during hyperspace travel and that they drive you crazy if you look at them or something, also I think Vader liked looking out at them or something

That was i think a legends story about Starweird. Fun fact there also Canon now thanks to a comic were Dr. Aphra and Luke (with the yellow lightsaber) find one in a old outpost.

@MeMaex I meant, I loved that the creator of this explanation video noticed what the metal used was and why it was able to defuse light sabers, as well as to point out, at least one point, where it was used in the lore before.

@MeMaex But yeah, I agree the show runners could and should have done a better job on explaining it to the audience via the exposition, because the general audience dont read all the side comics and novels, and thus wouldn't pick up on these details, so they would find this fight very confusing. I personally have a friend who scoffs that, "Light sabers are becoming more and more useless, now they can't even cut through metal?!" Don't even mention to him that Inquisitor chick who was stabbed by Vader twice, and somehow survived...

Jecki was my favorite side character in the show, I was so devastated when she died that I kinda didn't care, Yord died, but his death was far more brutal.

I kind of don't think it needs a setup like that. You understand the basics of it just by watching what happens when the armour contacts a lightsaber - they probably should mention it in a future episode but I don't think it is 100% necessary.

Not everything needs explaining. You can see the sabers shorting out and bouncing, that shows how strong it is. Not too mention mandalorian armor does a similar thing already. ​@@Man-Jan

@DeadlyTinyOrc If it's not explained, it doesn't make sense, and people can't accept it. Granted, full explanations can slow the story and make it feel boring, but at least if someone mentions the name of the metal, such as shouting it in surprise when their saber turns off, or mentioning, "he was wearing ---," later when talking about the battle. Then, at least, it can be implied that the metal was the cause of their saber malfunction, then people who want to know more can look it up on wookipedia. Not even trying to explain this strange happenstance is lazy writing.

I totally forgot to talk about that! I didn't actually catch it til the second viewing because Qimir's line there sounded like what Yoda said. Knights of Ren connection would be wild. And I think you might be right - he did not say I am a Sith, rather " you would call me that" - very interesting choice of words there.

Yap yap yap. Legends is not canon. His birthdate was made legends in 2014. This must be your first star wars experience as you don't seem to know how legends and canon works now, seeing as how you can't even spell CANON correctly.

He wasn't on Khofar and didn't see the "Sith" - if that is what he is at all. Red lightsaber does not equal Sith remember. Ki-Adi-Mundi was not born at this point in the EU/Legends timeline - we are no longer in that timeline, so nothing in canon has been broken yet.

I think Mae and Osha were made by the witches using the Force, whereas Anakin was made by the Force itself. I think there is a clear difference and people are going a little too crazy. Excited to see how it plays out.
