I got curious and wanted to see if I could duo it with these two, I did make a ton of mistakes in the fight like forgetting Sazh’s LD call before Noel’s BT phase so it can certainly be improved!

I played this pretty poorly but this was the only attempt out of a ton of tries that actually recorded so good enough for me, heck I love this team in this fight. Zidane makes it so the main boss (and the adds if you play well enough) get no turns, Agrias denies them their action even if they get a turn, and Beatrix has amazing defensive buffs for the team, plus if you time her Safeguard proper...

I had a faster run before but that replaced Zidane so I wanted to see if I could keep him in - I didn’t mean to give the enemies that many turns but it worked out!

This run was done on Easy mode, going to keep trying to get a completed Normal run recorded! He does a lot less damage on Easy so I can get away with not healing until he uses Heartless Angel - he also has a lot less health so the phases go by a lot quicker. This was recorded with Remote Play, so sorry if there are any graphical or audio issues!

Congrats! I grinded this level so much (for S rank) that some of the parts I just did from memory in my final run lol. For sure this track is hard

Is this only possible with Counter?
Sadly no, as in Radiant Dawn none of the herons can get Counter as a skill - fun fact, in Path of Radiance Reyson can equip Counter but it’ll never activate (which kills my ability to do a heron run in PoR). What I did for this run was use magic cards, since the herons are able to attack using those!
@@dragonicpixel Oh, right. I always forget about those things.
@@aggressivelymediocre350 Understandable! In a normal run they wouldn’t have much use, since magic users can’t use them and have tomes anyways, and others with weapons wouldn’t really use them either since cards go off of the magic stat.
@@dragonicpixel In my experience, cards are only good for Ena. She is classified as a red dragon (they do physical damage) but she has high magic because she has white dragon blood (magic based dragons) because Nasir is her grandfather. This would go a bit as to explaining why she looks more pink than red. Obviously they help herons, but cards are a valid option for her in my opinion.

My first clear was somehow two turns slower than this mess, and I'm still not sure how. Congrats on beating it as well!

Definitely would not recommend screenshake or pre-boss sound effects.
I’ve kind of gotten used to them, so it does work for me! I did just recently turn off the heart, so turning those effects off would probably help as well! Thanks for the advice!
