Pardon me, marketing dpt., but I wanted to see the CXA GUI details, not the small picture inserted in small laptop screen. I know it may look nice but from technical point of view its useless.
Can you control multiple zones using 1 remote faceplate? It would be good if i could control thr source and volume for say zones 1-3 with just one remote control

Even after so many years since product launch, we still use the CX261 in many of our projects and we like the new facelift ;-) Great product!
I've one of the cxv225 on the bench with a loud buzz/hum when connected to a line speaker load.. Channel 2 is fine... Channel 1 led is always on.. Both input circuits have been signal traced all is fine there. And before the silly comments arrive.. The fault is on one channel only with the relay rl1 holding off.. So there is possibility of main filter cap leakage or component breaking down under load..
I had one that did this the other day. It was C66 that caused it on the 225 - one channel had the AC buzz, the other channel is ok. Unfortunately, these units are often running 24/7 and the capacitors dry out after 10 years or more of operation (CXV-225 brought to market circa 2006 and the 425 mid 2009 - gives you an idea of potential age). Simple/straight forward enough fix though. Another common issue on these, the 225 and 425 is the capacitors responsible for the 5 second startup delay (surface mount), dry out over time causing it to be stuck in protect indefinitely even if there is no overload condition or DC present. Even with this in mind though, these units are great workhorses and the direct drive design employed is a significant improvement over a transformer coupled equivalent which effectively can saturate and is both a high pass/low pass filter at the same time. It is not an issue just limited to these amplifiers though, it is a common issue on the older Z4/Z8 zoners before the switch mode PSU came in - PSU caps dried out causing distortion/buzz. These units are normally anything but reliable otherwise so it does tend to be the caps that finish them off in the end unless someone overloads it or is negligent.

Cloud products are an installers dream. Well made, logical and, as this video illustrates, versatile.
Cloud stuff is truly great but what a SHAME theyve switched to using those CRAPPY green connectors instead of xlr for mics and outputs!!!! I now avoid these units pity really as they are good units EXCEPT FOR THE CRAPPY GREEN CONNECTORS BRING BACK XLR CLOUD!!!!!
