I can totally relate. I think if a manager put me on some kind of performance enhancement program or something along those lines, I'd leave. Who wants that job? Teams should encourage people and find ways to motivate people to improve. And the number 1 reason people quit tech jobs is because of management. I've heard that in meetings from high level managers. I'm at another tech company, but it's great to see the downsides of the job and not just the positive aspects. Although I will add, sometimes managers act this way because they are being pressured to do it. Sometimes its a management strategy that is the problem. Last thing I'd say, and this may not be for everyone, but this is an argument for freelancing and building a solid network in your career. The reason is because if you can freelance and have enough savings to pay your bills for a few months to a few years, you never have to worry about putting up with something like this. You can cover your expenses and can quit at anytime. One of the worst situations is hating your current job, but having to stay because you need to pay your bills. A new job may require leveling up in some way which takes time. Freelance writing, or coding, or some kind of freelance work in combination with some savings can save you a lot of pain.

Could you do a detailed tutorial for a beginner?

Loved using GCP and in hindsight somehow got lucky to be exposed to it as my first cloud provider. Had I drank from AWS Firehouse (pun intended) as a newbie, I am almost sure I would have quit 😢. Very interested to learn more about azure after this

I think boot camps are great for updating skill sets, not for getting a job. College is better than university for the outcome of learning vs price and time. University can be great if you choose your electives wisely and the curriculum is relevant. Both college and university can give you time, which can be super valuable if you take advantage of it. Lets not forget due to people's economic and family situations not everyone can choose they path they want. If you are able to then count yourself lucky and don't waste the opportunity.

I have an engineering degree and work in related field about 2 degrees of separation. Just get a basic computer science degree and an internship. The company will train you to learn something different. Then keep learning and advancing. Make yourself useful. Read up on job openings to learn what companies are recruiting.

i totally agree with you , i'm from morocco i'm a software a software engineering student, they teach us a bunch of modules that are not relevant to the software industry , a lot of math and theor... stuff that make you feel bored and sleepy . and their argument is that you are future engineer you should economy ??? u should know math , topology , chemical reactions like what the heck is the relationship between this shit and IT in general , i still dont understand why they are making it harder for us just for a software engineerinf degree

Ok Im studying Computer Science, I enjoy coding in Java and C# that’s why I’m interested in becoming a software engineer, i know you said motivation shouldn’t be the focus but do you i might like your role, it’s only this year i’ve heard of SA’s and i saw internship here in amazon🇿🇦 for SA?.I really don’t know much about Solution Architecture(Cloud computing etc), the more I research the more I don’t understand,i feel its broad😅

One thing AWS is known for is reliability zones. If a business needs mission critical uptimes you can't beat AWS. There have been issues with Azure that do not exist in AWS for the past few years. Microsoft needs to catch up in this area

Thank you for the video, just a small suggestion. When 'comparing' cloud providers it would be much easier to only mention what sets them apart. If someone is viewing this video, they already know what are AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, so defining what they are, when definitions are essentially the same but worded differently can add unnecessary confusion.

I’m hoping to take this cert in a few months. I’ve currently only taken the solutions architect associate, so I figured I would jump in and take this one. It would open me up to some specialty assignments at work, though I don’t plan to become a “security engineer” per se.
