Truly well done! Best version of the Paul Young cover I've heard
Thinking back when first viewed movie thought the gun fight was a bit long and unrealistic . The pop guns at that range should have put more people out of commission. Everyone is a critic the movie itself had lots to say about friendships and unified relationships even if faced with death that the characters believed in fighting back . Think it will be viewed differently focus on relationships not violence .
In my opinion the shootout is one of the best in western film history, it was long because they were fighting against a howl outfit and it was only about three guys who didn’t die right away which is more realistic compared to the 50’s westerns were every one immediately died after being shot. Basically the howl movie was a small range war and in real life they could last weeks with multiple long fights

Holy damn, this sounds wonderful on a piano. In the original song I much prefer the guitar section over the main melody, but here that main melody sounds infinitely more graceful and theatrical. I could imagine myself relaxing to this in some lounge bar, ahah. Amazing work

I run through a little Bose speaker most of the time which is what you hear when I’m playing and talking but the full demos are recorded through my MacBook direct into Logic Pro

@@darrenrampton Hi Darren, Thanks again for the great instruction. I am a total beginner at age 68 . Finally trying to engage with music, other than listening, for the first time. One of the songs that I'd like to play is a lesser-known piece that Bruce wrote for a film score. No sheet music is available. It's a fairly uncomplicated piece (relative to many done by him), but I am pretty much at a loss in terms of finding sheet music - it simply doesn't exist for this. I've tried to see if there is anything online, a program that creates transcriptions, but don't think it would be possible. I noted that you replied to another comment that you could send a transcription by pdf for one that you have completed. I wonder if there is any way that it would be possible to get a transcription for this. I would be very grateful (and happy to give $ thanks). Or at least comment on what types of chords he might be playing so that eventually I might be able to work it out. The piece is called "Boiler Room", from a Spike Lee film.
