We recently had the pleasure of restoring this numbers matching 1967 GT500 KR. In order to give it a proper paint job, we stripped it down to bare metal and got to work. Every dent and spot of rust was repaired until the body was back to perfect condition. We also re-chromed everything, installed a new soft top and gave the engine a total refresh. Take a look! Respectable??? Ya Think?? I just want to put that into context. I've been around long enough to have been at many NMRA and Fun Ford events in the past. By the past I mean 96-97 time frame. Back then you had the top 3 fastest classes were Pro 5.0, Super Street Outlaw and Street Renegade. All 3 of those classes used power adders and you HAD TO to be competitive. Back then, the best in the Street Renegade classes were running mid 9's to high 8's.
Yeah he’s gotta be running a full Fuel Return System with Nitromethane Fuel or VP M5 Fuel ain’t no way you can go that fast on E85/C85 or any Ethanol based Fuel

@@blackericdenice with long tube headers, jtl air intake , gt350 intake manifold, and e85, am at 483whp on my 2017. But if you do all that on a gen 3 you should definitely be at 500whp wich is like around 560 hp
@@danielcasillas1133 I asked that question to see if you knew how to increase hp. A 2017 GT made 435 hp @ 6500 rpm. Ford did not install long tube headers, jti air intake or put gt350 intake manifold on the 2019 GT. Yet it make 460 hp @ 7,000 rpm running 93 octane.

The N/A record is not his low 9 second pass. NHRA view nitro as a power adder. So whatever his fastest time on m5 or E85 is, that would be his fastest N/A time
