Directed by Richard Axelby and Shirley van der Maarel. On the first Wednesday of each month, the 84 councillors elected to Sheffield City Council meet in the Town Hall. Presided over by the Lord Mayor, what happens over the course of an afternoon mixes competitive display, angry debate, moments of comedy and serious drama. Filmed from the floor of the chamber and interspersed with interviews from the leading participants, “Full Council” provides an unusually human glimpse into the rituals and decision-making processes that have consequences for the city outside.
