Hiking to Moldoveanu Peak 2,544m
This is our escape from the big city, to the wonderful Fagaras Mountains! We spent our first night camping at Valea Sambetei, and the second night we camped near the Vistea Mare refuge.
We met super nice people up in the mountains, and also shared some good food, spring water, nice talks at Moldoveanu peak with other hikers.

We have to admit that winter hikes and trails are a bit harder, but also they are so beautiful when everything is white and full of snow. ⛰Transylvania has a lot of magical places, one of them is the hiking trail to Muntele Mare peak (1.826 m), at the border of Cluj and Alba county. The full hike 🥾 was 20 km, with 657 meter elevation gain and we made it in 6 hours.
