I believe just like how Jesus fulfilled the old covenant with God and certain practices were abandoned, our use of animals has also changed. I believe God gave us such intelligence and by extension emotional intelligence to be custodians of Earth and see ourselves as responsible to God's other life, especially animals. We feel pain and strife watching animals get harmed. I believe that is the normal, appropriate response we should feel. Sin is to teach us how our flaws and corrupt our minds and stray us from His righteousness. Pride and ego can overtake us and make us more like Lucifer when he fell. I believe God made me feel this way because it is what He wants. I feel better physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually through abstainment of animal products.
