I always just kinda used whatever worm I have with me. Never thought about it like that before but I can see where it can make a big difference. Great video as always!
I use ned rigs and wacky rigs a lot. I like zman worms for neds and yum dingers for everything else.

Hey Lowbrow, you are preaching to the choir! I’ve been using modified beetle spins & throwing Mepps since I was a kid. Still do. Maybe it’s an Illinois thing😂 Arkie also sells those jig heads with the weed guards. Love the fat Albert grubs on those.

I got the same kind of fishery here in costal VA the back bay is full of grass right now. The grass don’t start dying off till mid October
I know how that can be! The vegetation here barely dies back at all since we might or might not get freezing weather during winter.
@@LowBrowFishing it’s the same here we will get about 2 or 3 weeks of cold weather the water temp never really gets below 48. But then we have winters where it will snow any where from 6 inches to a foot of snow. But 3 days later it’s back in the hi 40s low 50s

Paddle tails, Squarebill Crankbaits, and a Choppo or BPS Popper is usually what I throw at the bass chasing bait.

An A rig is best this time of year. Most guys use it in the winter and spring but an A rig is great right now.
Yeah, an Alabama rig can be great, but not so good in 8 feet of thick vegetation, lol!

If I see schools of minnows then I really like a small Keitech on a regular jig head. I might even use a fat Albert grub. And if I need to go different then it's a white tube.

Love the content Low Brow and not being a hater at all here but lately the audio has been kinda "fuzzy" in the past 3 or 4 videos. It is definitely some kind of white or pink noise. It's in the background but only when you are speaking, and stops when not speaking in between sentences. Maybe it's just me because I've been watching on a computer that I produce music on with good monitor speakers but it's there where in past videos it's not. Maybe the mic on the camera is starting to go out? Just an FYI. You're the man!
I don't use a camera mic, I have a wireless external mic but it's more the recording software than the mic. It's something I'm trying to get sorted out.
@@LowBrowFishing FYI I hadn't finished the latest video and was only 4 mins into it when I sent the last comment. After about 6mins or so the noise seems to have stopped. Hope this helps

A lot of times those areas with schools will repopulate very quickly so you can catch a few then come back later and catch a few more!
The bass were busting shad the other day in my river. I caught 7 bass in the same spot after one gave them away by breaking the surface. After that I kayaked the whole river and only caught 1 bass on a laydown. If you don't find the school of bass I guess you're gonna have a bad time! Lol
It always helps when you can find them grouped up!
Google Earth is something I love - especially that historical feature. Like you said, draw down stills are so informative. All good stuff in this video!

Great video man!!! I remember thinking that same thing about why spray each bait individually. I started spraying my attractant into the bag (usually Culprits) back in the early 90s and it's always made a big difference. That was when Bang had a sweet smell to it. It worked too,don't know why they changed their formula.
My plastics sure seem to have more scent and hold it longer when I do it that way!

I like use a willow leaf silver in color, and copper or brass blade under willow blade,and silver and white skirt on 3×8 Oz. We have a lot of gizzard shad in our lakes. I live in Southern Il.

I've always really liked throwing a lipless in the fall. I remember last year about this time, we were just getting to the lake and I caught 3 bass on back-to-back-to-back casts with a lipless before my wife even got a line wet. She was a little grumpy with me and told me to save her some fish, lol!
