Finding Viking History in Närpes Finland
This time I meet up with an expert of Viking History in Finland and discover some surprising findings what has been going on here in what is today known as Närpes. My guide takes me to what is now believed to be an old pagan church in the forest situated in the outskirts of the small town of Närpes. Here we discover new information about the origins of the Viking Saga and some familiar names in history you probably have heard before that can re-write the history as we know it today.
Tag along on our quest to tell the story of the ancient history that has taken place here in western Finland before Christianity. Some of these sights are estimated to be from the Bronze Age.

      Hi, Thanks for sharing. It is very tragic indeed. There are so many stories that are still untold and I hope just by creating a little bit of awareness of this, maybe the world can remain a bit safer and learn from the past. Even though it sometimes doesn't look like it, I think we will get there in the end and will have lasting peace in the world

    The needs of Capitalism demands workers who are obedient, and unchallenging. It is very reductive, and illogical because human beings are extremely varied.Nepotism has always existed, but has worsened since globalised Capitalism ruined local industries. Sadly, our political systems refuse to promote egalitarian laws and policies.In truth, it starts at the top, our politicians set poor examples and promote their own family and friends and also take advantage of privatisation, stock ownership and property ownership. Here in the UK our politicians and Lords control the law that would protect house renters, because it is against their own interests.It is out of control, and we need to change our political system. Our politicians in the UK are shameless.

    • @talkingsociety5560
      @talkingsociety5560 Před měsícem

      Thanks for your reply. Yes you are right we need a new political system that can handle this new reality we are in. There is too much inefficiencies domestically and globally that it is such a pity things are just continuing. Read that there is over 300 000 homeless in France last year. That is a lot of poverty in a "successful nation" which I think can highlight a bit about the problem we see in our world, even though we should have money to eliminate much of this suffering and lack of housing and food etcetera. I think the world is starting to wake up. I have hope

    • @talkingsociety5560
      @talkingsociety5560 Před měsícem

      Thanks for sharing. Everyone is beautiful and talented in their own ways. I think that whole search for meaning stuff is very individual and yeah it can be hard to find what you are interested in sometimes, but I think to be unemployed is also a great opportunity to find that what really is your calling. And then you of course you kind of have to follow your dream I guess. Maybe it is like the heroes journey each and everyone needs to figure out for themselves, regardless of what the society is doing. But indeed some environments can sometimes be more beneficial than other's depending on what you want to do. There is so many possibilities if one starts to look a little bit on the surface of the world.

    I understand how frustrating it must be. I really hope you find a decent job soon. I have lived in a few countries, including Finland. Although there are problems there, things are far better than in many other parts of Europe. That doesn't mean Finns should sit back and accept things, we should all fight for better. On the subject of Finnish racism. There is a tendency to lump all racists together. The little racism I have seen in Finland, is usually older people who don't have much experience of foreign people, many other countries experienced this decades ago. This is fear of the unknown and can be overcome. Terve.

    • @talkingsociety5560
      @talkingsociety5560 Před měsícem

      Thanks for your reply. Yes it can be quite a difficult and sensitive topic this indeed, but I think it is going to get better. People adapt. Well I think it is important that more and more people start to talk about all these things we were addressing in the video. I think the society will then have a chance then to progress in a more opener fashion. I also kind of start to think of all the skilled talents worldwide that nobody are seeing for what they are or what they have to contribute. But I guess it is also up to us, each and everyone to make the best of the situation we are in so we can live a sustainable healthy life.

    It's not money which causes people to be bad, it just shows who you really are. If you are a good person, you will to good things with money, that's how simple it is. I know rich people that help others in need or support them. An asshole is as asshole, with or without cash. He/she will keep beeing an ass, it doesn't matter if he is poor or rich. Well, you asked how we should overcome social problems? Buy assuming 100% responsability for our own actions, that's how. Everybody beginning with him/herself and setting and good example, respecting him/herself and others. Also by setting crystal clear boundaries to others not respectful to us. Only than we get a better society step by step.
