    I'd like to hear this without all the "splashy" reverberation - I don't like the room acoustics. I think this acoustic environment muddies up an otherwise convincing performance. But I speak for myself about what sounds good to me.

    Is that a soprano dulcian? How high can one play on this instrument, and on the alto for that matter?

    • @TheItalianConsort
      @TheItalianConsort Před 3 lety

      Dear Richard, in this video there are 1 bass, 2 tenor and 1 alto dulcian. Usually an alto arrives easily to d'' and a tenor to a'...of course it is possible to go higher even of 4th or a of 5th (or of a ??) if the instruments allows to do it and the player knows how to play it.

    This was wonderful to listen to. I suspect that being in the space and listening would be delightful. The record of it in this space I think looses something and that it would be better to record in a space that was just a little less live. I am just an amateur.
