Solo Street Session
I went for a solo street session in a local industrial estate.
I broke my big toe a few weeks ago at the Ash Bowl Bash contest, so this is my first time back on my board.
Surprisingly, I found some really fun skate spots!

Great Vid, thx for that! I was just wondering, if the board has a short wheelbase. Wouldn’t it be stiffer between the trucks? To be honest, I’ve never landed with either feet completely on both end of the deck. I’m not a good skater anyways, maybe that’s why I never got to a trick in which this could of happened to me. 😅

Great video. I have a hero 8 and I edit on an iPad. Helpful tips. I Was using 4k 30fps wide settings. But 1080 seems more compatible

I rode the 8.06 full se 14” wheelbase and 31.5” long, Absolutely perfect! My kickfips were just on point and everything felt good on it. The shorter length is nice, 32” deck just feels way to big. This was on thunders, I wont ride anything bigger than a 14” wheelbase. And this deck with thunders was just a perfect combo!

I have to correct you, these are not the normal Vans Old Skool. These are called Vans Old Skool skate wich is an upgraded version of the Vans Old Skool Pro.

Amazing video! I love the pov skating. My old skools got a few holes after 1 week of skating in the canvas part but the rest is holding up great.

I wish the stabilization didn't crop the video so much. I also use the GoPro Max and on Hero mode it has horizon levevling on max super view. You also can also film 16:9 or 4:3. Not sure why you cant on the 9 or 10.
Right! The crop is so annoying. Your GoPro Max sounds awesome with those specs. I've seen a GoPro max lens mod for the 10, I may have to invest if I can get the horizon levelling on superview....madness.

is the nose at the B or R end of the board
Great question!!! the nose is at the B end, which is weird because, on the Baker website, the B is at the bottom.... when in reality the B should be at the top.

Hey, Outright, I'm new to skating and my cousin gave me his old Classic Black and Blue Baker board and I want to get a new Baker board because I don't want to snap it since they don't make the decks anymore. I was wondering if the Mellow Concave shape is reminiscent of the old Baker board shape or if I should just stick with just a regualr OG Shape board with regular concave as opposed to an OG Shape with the Mellow Concave. I loved the video and I'm shocked you have so little subscribers, definitely added to that count.
Thank you so much Sush1man. That's tough because I haven't skated baker a lot so I can't give you a solid answer on that. But I'd recommend going for the regular concave. The mellow was wicked, but it flattens out ALOT! ends up like a 2x4 ha! So mellow is great if your gonna replace your deck every 1-4 weeks, but if your skating longer than that you'll get more life out of the regular concave.

Super helpful review. I'm on the fence with this deck because of how quickly the plies wore down. Although the shallow nose and tail would be super helpful to me. I have to head to my local shop to see the deck in person.
