I broke down just outside brighton on my norton ES2 500 when this event was on. 12 mod lads on scooters all stopped and got me going again, met them all the prom the next day to say thanks and plenty of beers on the night 🍻 cheers lads 🇬🇧🇬🇧

When I was a kid, 16-19 we used to wear our parkas in a completely different cut to these guys. Ours were extremely baggy and loose, yet all these guys seem to prefer a much tighter figure hugging style. Just a small thing but weird to see how styles change.

Great video, specially last 10 minutes as i use to live in Brighton in 70s while I was studying in Sussex .. reminded me of good old days , Brighton is like second home to me as i had best time of my life. Great town and great brightonions ❤❤❤

There are very few mods in this video. Been hijacked by comedy Northern mods in clown hats and that quartet playing and dancing to Spirit in the sky and reggae should be ashamed of themselves. Many crap new scooters amongst the gems. 80% never were mods in the 60s or 70s or even stepped into a tailor or for that matter a mod club and listened to Rhythm and Blues. Pure comedy gold.

One of the most glorious views in Sussex. As long as you don't mind the traffic jams. (Probably better by bus with its own lane.)

I am 71 and the mod era was over by the time I was 19 so I only got a few fun years. It's nostalgic seeing the restored old scooters...during the 60's I had an LD 150 ..an LI 150...a TV 175 ..and finally a Vespa SS 180 ...that was the best one of them all, pity I didn't store it away. I could never afford to have one looking as good as any of those though...they were all second hand.
