As someone who is color blind and has tried glasses for it. they are very underwhelming and not worth a penny.

I'm colorblind (first tier) and have thought on multiple occasions to purchase these glasses. They seemed too good to be true though, and after reading comments on Reddit, I figured that they would simply alter the way I see colors as opposed to correction my color vision. I had no way of actually proving this, but accidentally stumbled upon your videos today which gave me all the proof I needed. Thank you for helping me save a few hundreds dollars on bs red lenses. Though the thought of being able to see color the way everyone else does has really piqued my interest, I've come to accept the fact that this technology simply does not exist yet. And quite frankly, I can still enjoy my life with the vision that I currently have - even if my friends give me a hard time about it occasionally. Cheeky bastards, lol.

I got blue coloured (brownish in the inside ,polarized sunglasses. (12€ from alie xd)And I feel like I see more colours, better? It feels like it but it honestly just makes everything feel more colour distinct and less gray. I also tested on the colour blind test and could see some numbers/symbols looking at an off angle. I doesnt make me less colourblind but I could literally see an S at an off angle where i cant without wich is kinda cool? That said there are no colourblind glasses really…

in theory it's possible to 'see' the new colors this way by shifting the entire spectrum but then you lose access to the old colors that are now shifted into the wavelength that the new colors used to reside in. it would also take some kind of active component and not just tinting. (think how the white phosphorus coating in fluorescent lamps allow them to produce white light instead of ultraviolet.)

Tinted lenses are cool and can help with headaches. I like orange, and blue, tinted lenses. Not quite a medical miracle, but you can just buy coloured lenses for a few dollars instead of the magic 400 dollar ones.

Thing is, they are meant to show you what the colour you see weaker, for what they really are. I'm also deutan colourblind and have the pilestone's. Of course colours will get wonky with a magenta, pinkish tint, but the colours I had trouble with, namely: light pinks seem grey, purple is hard to differenciate from blue, red is muted, green doesn't have many hues, yellow and green look alike, these colours bacame new colours I haven't seen before. What I always thought was red, turned out to be brown (watching star wars again with these was awesome), yellow is a comepletely new colour (wow so warm, cozy), trees have so much more depth to their leaves, I see a much deeper green on some trees that I had never seen in nature! They do say on the website that it doesn't work for everyone though. If it does work, it's awesome :) I don't wear mine often, since like most people with colourblindness, we're not too bothered by it. The staged emotional stuff is wack. A genuine reaction is more like yours, like "huh, so this is how it looks? Ok lol"

Yes the ads are pretty much all lies but the actual purpose of the glasses is just to better be able to see the difference in colors. They don’t make you see new colors, they just make them easier to differentiate. Which can be extremely helpful.

I discovered I had Daltonism on my own when I was a child, through deduction in comparison to my brothers and found out officially through a doctor. I discovered it, because I was artistically inclined and liked painting. And through this gained a color education where I learned to distinguished more colors than most people. So it’s been strange in this way, I sense less colors than most people, but I can often distinguish more colors because of my art education. I also studied video, and didn’t land a job because of my color blindness. When growing up I worked at a tomato farm and was fired because I could tell when a tomato had its first flash of turning orange. So picked to many green tomatoes. Now I sell paintings. I get I can’t see everything, but totally knew this was a scam.

If the glasses worked then you should be able to pass the color blindness tests while wearing them, that you previously failed. That would be an objective demonstration rather than subjective.

I think that each individual see colors differently...👓 I use to think about color blind glasses and how it works, It's obviously changing the spectrum to allow more colors to appear in contrast.. Not sure it's could be called a scam. It does differentiate more colors... Just personal opinion...

Man, I love losing $800+ dollars per month so that companies can commit such heinous scams at this level of criminal, yet I'm not covered by my state's insurance for PRESCRIPTION LENSES, not even an APPOINTMENT! And on top of that, having to pay additional money from every paycheck if I want coverage for basic lenses(which happens to be offered by my particular employer, as there are many employers out there that offer no benefits at all) Gotta love freedom country, Muricah! 🦅🇺🇲

My first thought: the problem is with eye. You have to bypass eye and send new information directly to brain. My second thought: I was right from start.

Its a complete scam one of the tests I needed to do was forced on me as I needed to renew my drivers license and this test is required. similar issue couldn't see the number in the test. now that I have them I cannot see the colour Green on the traffic lights. funny that the glasses caused colour blindness and its endorsed by the traffic dept.

Even if I think there are definitely some shady things happening with these companies, I think there are a few flaws in this video’s research. 1. He complained that the color was too intense and everything had a « red haze » over it. However he said earlier that the videos he color-corrected were also too red. So it could be that he’s just not used to seeing colors to that degree. And showing it to the camera doesn’t accomplish anything since we are not colorblind and these glasses are not made for us 2. He didn’t do the colorblind test with the glasses, which would have been a really good indicator of if the glasses help or not. 3. He said that the green was only a darker shade, but I would say this is normal. You can’t miraculously spawn working green receptors in his eyes, so there’s no other choice than to use other means to distinguish them. These glasses are definitely not as magical as they’re advertised, but I think the reasoning is not conclusive enough to state that it’s a complete scam. And I don’t think we will ever get an answer to that question because colorblind people can’t see what non-colorblind people see and vice-versa

A year later to this so beyond not relevant, blame the algorithm🤷 but the article regarding royal mail automation said they had achieved the milestone of 50%, up 33%. So they had increased automation by 33% for a current total percentage of 50%. After going through all that effort with probability modelling, it was a shame this stat was misread. Easily done! But also, ironic given the issue being discussed 😂🤷

I was always skeptical of these glasses. I'm not colourblind or a biology expert, but I have a little bit of understanding as to how colourblindness works, and I just could not see how any kind of lense could fix it, that made no sense whatsoever.

I knew this couldn't be true. If you're born without the color detectors, you can't invent colors with just glasses. I really wanted to believe it but knew, deep down, that it wasn't possible. Glad to see this video getting so much traction, these companies need to go down. Kind of insane to me that the US lets these kinds of things fly though, in other countries they'd be in serious legal trouble way before someone like you made a video like this.
