am I the only one who does not understand what he means by "nickel line" or something. "Just bring your hand down to the 'nickel' line." In another video his model doesn't get this, too. Any ideas?

Nude photography is fun, but I really don't think these daysit has as much appeal as it once did. I never got it even when Newton or others did it in the 70s and the 80s. The photographs on their own were great, but the concept is now outmoded.

nude in the city.....i have seen the last 40 years so much photographers doing that...there was no one with outstanding photographs...i think to most artsy thing is to find models which are not afraid posing nude in public...sorry for that but it is not interresting anymore ...

I have a question, is there a way to figure out which images you have sent, so that when downloading the card, these images have a mark or something? and then you can keep the RAWs, and ditch the rest. I know you can rate them, but I am looking for a different way, as to rate I need both hands, and two actions. Thanks again

Thanks for this tutorial, Mark. You mentioned high speed sync for cases where a very fast shutter speed is needed. I wonder how high speed sync compares to the use of a neutral filter attached to your lens to cut some of the light and allow for a "normal" sync speed of the flash. Thank you!

I find NO consensus on whether the camera should be in M mode when using TTL or an Auto mode. I have had nothing but bizarre unworkable results with my flashgun in TTL when experimenting in an Auto mode and wonder if M is the best bet, setting the exposure values based on how I want to light the background, then letting TTL illuminate the subject correctly based on flash power settings (steps up or down). Another item of confusion - my flashgun has flash power settings, but so does my camera. Which do I use? Does one override the other? Thanks!

But what Mode do you set the camera too for flash pics?

Mark... I am not a pro, but maybe one day.... but .... I totally agree with you. I've seen professional, paid photographers who don't zoom in, leaving acres of dead space, or using the camera horizontally for what should have been a vertical aspect portrait.... no attention to details, AND they proudly post this crap on social media! These are PROS! How do they keep getting work????

Mark: I am moving up to the Leica SL 3 ; from my SONY , I have had trouble with the rear screens on all of my SONY camera's , and the Leica color science is suppose to be better. I DO want to do Portraiture and use the special soft boxes etc. Hope my choice is a good one. Oh and I watch all of your videos Mark : Chris
