    It's an impressive video, as in it made an impact. Well done! On the other hand it's kind of intimidating.. I bought a laser cutter thing (still in the box after 3 months), but all this computer work, different programs and set-up is a scary learning curve, that makes an oldtimer like me keeping it in the box for now... All the best Paul, greetings from the Barbacena Backyard (where I'm still fighting with large sheets of OSB 😉😄

      @Create2make Před 2 měsíci

      Thank you Gerrit, I was hoping the meaning of the video came across. One of the reasons I wanted to show the design side, is to show it just takes time to do a simple design. It's like with editing a video you put things in the place you want and you cut things out. I used inkscape to do the design and it's free to use. I used CZcams to learn how to use it and the videos are only a few minutes each. The next thing is you surprise yourself after a week that the simplest label design is almost like using paint in windows. I would say if I can do it then anyone can. Looking forward to seeing your future videos with OSB

    All the best wishes for the new year, Paul! As most of the times, I am way behind when it comes to technology, mainly because I'm not looking forward to studying new stuff, especially when it comes to computer-related procedures. But with the need to build a new workshop at our new location and wanting to reduce the size of projects (more focus on small instruments), a laser cutter would make life so much easier. I'm not sure about the 3-D printing yet, but I am looking for a laser cutter that fits my budget and needs at the moment. You have been so productive over the last year, it would just make sense if you had a few of these items for sale! Keep doing what you are doing! All the best from the Barbacena Backyard in Portugal. (where the new workshop will be (re)built the coming year).

      @Create2make Před 8 měsíci

      Thank you, Gerrit. I appreciate you watching. I hope that you had a good Christmas. The laser is quite easy to pick it up, maybe easier than video editing 🤔. You have a lot of work ahead of you in the next year. The laser can be useful when it comes to upcycling or recycling. I guess it's something to think of in the future. I hope to get more videos done in the future. Have a fantastic new year 😀

    Hey Paul, happy Boxing Day to you too! My mother in law is British and that's the first thing she said to me this morning. lol Good to see a video from you. Happy New Year!

    • @Create2make
      @Create2make Před 8 měsíci

      Thanks Steve, hope you had a good day. It was good to make a video again, I have some ideas for future projects. The 3d printer is still a recent thing, but it is very handy to make things in a short amount of time. The lithography comes out really well, I surprised myself. The enclosure is well worth it as it keeps everything at a constant temperature so when you have a tall print it helps. It would be nice to see you make a video, as you were very much an inspiration when I was getting started doing videos. Have a fantastic 2024

    Hello Create 2 make. It's been a while since 2017, but I've only just seen your video. Here's a tip from me for gluing pieces of wood that you want to detach later, like in the first step of In and out turning: Use the paper-gluing method, between the two pieces of wood to be glued put a layer of paper, possibly newspaper, with wood glue. So wood, glue, paper, glue, and the second piece of wood on top. This can be easily removed later, better than pure hot glue. Otherwise a great video, thanks for the work. Greetings from northern Germany, stay healthy. George

    A nice solution! Something I wouldn't think about (I guess these bins don't look that nice standing in the garden), because we don't have these bins. (Just one or two big ones in every street - depending on the amount of houses). Of course there are special bins for glass, fabric and paper and plastic on the village square, but because of the difference in culture there's so much less packaging over here, that helps too. Nice to see a video of you again, all the best from the lonesome hill!
