Thanks for this one, rare indeed, I have a tough time telling folks they did this tour, lol. I was lucky enough to have seen CCR live, let alone this tour. It changed my perspective on their music. Big picture I think CCR was the most popular over produced band going, you had to be there, live. The Royal Hall clips show this. They were a full out, pump them out, 70’s rock and roll show, every song comes out heavy and up-tempo. On the flip side John was, and may still be, the least charismatic lets say presentation guy, for this show it was “hers one for you”, followed at the end with “thank you”, and repeat. One poster noted how well John plays the works, I saw it a little different. John comes off as a show off, its about him, I always just assumed it was more what his brother was not contributing, John could do it all anyway? If you think I’m harsh on his attitude I’m going to re-adjust your visual perspective of that B&W clip, that outfit has matching pants and cowboy hat,……….they are ?????? Pink? We can see now one of Prince’s early influences in style? But for me that show will always be a highlight (and there have been a few), good old open seating, we got front and center, no barrier (you got close, high stage). How could you beat the backup act, Tony Joe White, Polk Salad Annie to Rainy Night In Georgia. Then a full out rock and roll and John show, trust me it looks better in B&W, lol.

My dads dad come to Melbourne in 1960 when was 30 as italian migrant,he said all there was is Australia people,the city was clean, streets, building,roads,etc and now he says it's a shit hole,and now i see what he means. Truly beautiful. If there was 1 place on Earth left like that right now I would move there. One thing you cannot deny is that it was beautiful BECAUSE it's religious, cultural and racial cohesiveness. It was a white christian country at it's peak. But the greediest of people had a problem with this: a rich society needs to be well paid by definition. That's why they preferred to open the floodgates of migration, destroy the culture and hopefully impoverish the society so that they work for nothing, own nothing and are completely tied to and dependent on working for the biggest man. It is very sad what happened to the West. It's a huge waste for the benefit of a few.
