The Steelmax brand was launched in 2003 with a premium line of metal cutting saws and magnetic drilling machines. These tools and consumables were Steelmax’s primary focus through 2010. The current owners bought Steelmax in 2010 and began expanding the product line to cover many more aspects of metal fabrication - from cutting and drilling to plate and pipe beveling and welding automation solutions. Today, Steelmax is an international brand sold through industrial and welding supply distributors around the world.

The Steelmax saw is $525. I recommend the Evolution saw, which is cheaper and has very good reviews. The Steelmax is shown on Amazon but no price or availability is listed. The Evolution is widely available.

As a Plate Shop supervisor in the late 90s at Avondale Shipyards, I can say this produces quality cuts with flame torch. Our plasma torches were faster but flame cut produced cleaner cuts on single and compound beveling. Liked your video.

I got my lesson with this company! About 10 years ago, I bought a SM cold cut chop saw thru Lawson (the high end nuts and bolts people). I really needed it for a job I was doing and I was really happy with it in the beginning. About 18mos after purchase, the handle snapped off. I emailed and called these people about my problem. I even contacted Lawson. They are no longer dealers. Greeted with SILENCE form STEAL MAX. I was in the LWS a few days ago and they have become a dealer for these people. There was a saw very similar to mine on display. Close inspection of it revealed the handle has been completely redesigned. My saw sits back in the corner out of the way, still un-repaired
