Honestly, we should live in a world where we can post videos of little girls performing in a dance rehearsal wearing whatever costume they want, no problem. But we don't. You know there are men who watch videos like this for reasons that have nothing to do with appreciating the dance skills of children, right? The costume and some of the choreography are inappropriate under the circumstances. You should take this down. Or only make it available to families whose children participated in the recital. I'm not being a prude. It's a shame but the world will live go on without this video and this child will not end up exploited by those who do not have children's best interests in mind.
Hello! Our studio is a family-first culture and I can assure you we take the safety of our children seriously. Our costumes are modest yet appropriate for that of competitive dancers, which is what this you tube channel is a highlight of. Our choreography highlights the skills and strengths of each dancer, is age appropriate, and never exploits them. This is a dance competition, not a recital, and every competition will take off points if they feel costume or dance moves are not age appropriate and this kiddo has never lost points (neither have our studio, ever in our 9 years). She’s also placed in the overalls many times. Unfortunately I cannot stop predators on the internet, but I can also tell you this kiddo doesn’t have any social media when there are thousands of dancers her age who do (parent ran) and post photos and videos in their dance attire that some people would not find inappropriate. This channel is simply to celebrate the accomplishments of our competitive dancers. Thank you for your feedback!

Actually this song fits perfectly with their dance plus it has to go with the style of dance and the beat
The artist himself recorded various versions of his song and this was the version chosen for this dance. Dancers do not always dance to the radio-popular versions of songs, especially depending on the genre of dance and if that version is appropriate. We often enjoy covers as well; artists promoting other artists! Please do not post negative comments on our channel; these dancers work really hard.

Dance competitions judge on age appropriateness and in no way did she lose points; in fact she won an overall placement. I appreciate your opinion however our studio takes this seriously as we are family first culture. In no way is her dance nor costume inappropriate for her age and category. She definitely is having loads of fun and is absolutely adorable!
Thank you for responding. I think you have done a great job with this girl- she is so adorable and talented. I hope she goes a long way. I am also glad to hear that the studio and competition keeps age appropriateness in mind. I respect your point of view and understand that what she is doing is standard in dance. I still am uncomfortable with the outfit like this on little girls, especially with their belly showing. But, that's just my opinion and I am not her parent nor am I her teacher. Totally respect what you're doing here with teaching this girl skills which will help her gain confidence and teach her discipline. :)
A) she is just up there having fun and she definitely has a LOT of talent and great things ahead of her! B) the outfit, hip swishes and thrusting is inappropriate. She's a child and should absolutely not be swishing her hips in a bikini and a full face of make up (you can have stage make up to not wash you out without being GLAM). That being said, this was fun because she was having fun! Go girl!
She was great, I agree- some of the outfits on the little girls make me very uncomfortable. A few very small tweaks would have fixed what you said.
