I’ve had the same problem. It became so bad I had to return. It. They sent me another one and hopefully I’ll have better luck with this one. Other than the caking, it worked fine. I now use my outdoor composter more.

I just got one at sam's club $57.00 off....regular $99.98 good deal. So, they don't supply a tool to lift the air fry tray out? I hope no one burned their fingers when they were testing it. Can you microwave anything in it? It says it reheats, but what about warming up water in a cup like a regular microwave?

Why do you care if your garbage grinder is clean as long as the residue doesn't stop the blade? The heat has already killed all the potential mold. It sounds to me like you've been trying to grind fruit that has a lot of sugar content or starchy veggies like potatoes. Both of those items will cause the sugars to burn and adhere strongly to the bucket's surface. I usually solve this by spraying a bit of Goo Gone (or any citrus oil, really) on the residue when loading the next cycle and it tends to make the burnt carbon brittle enough to fall into blade once it heats up.

Manual ones the best if u carry that thing around u will drop it mine is 15yrs old works like brannew keep it simple it will last forever

I really want to order this oven for my husband and I, but I am afraid to give my bank info/card# until I have more info .....hopefully someone can answer this question. I can purchase the oven right now for $49.99 with the commitment to purchase meals 6 times within 6 months. After that, if we want to cancel can we do that with no penalty? In other words, will the oven be ours, free and clear, after that or will they charge us or penalize us in any way? Also, if we want a meal for each of us 5 days per week is there an option for the same meal for two? Or do you just order 10 meals each week? I mean would I have to order the same meal x 2 5 times per week if we want to have the same meal? thanks in advance for any answers and advice.

We just purchased the Tovala oven and tried cooking our own meal as I haven't received any of their meals yet. I'm also hyper focused on environment and don't use aluminum foil so I'm not going to. I'll probably cook the meals in different cooking dishes. I saw that you used parchment paper so I'm super happy I can continue to use same. The small meals sound perfect for how I eat so other than it being pricey like you mentioned, I'll complete what I agreed to do then probably just use it as a regular toaster convection oven. Thanks for your review it was very helpful!

Ontario.Our winters are like your winters,too.I think this product is most suitable for apt. or condo dwellers,who may have no access to a yard,or maybe even no Green Bin Program where they live.Also people who live in bear country,that's kind of self-explanatory.

Great video with detailed comparisons. Another benefit of the click & grow are the magnified/focal lenses on the LEDs. There isn't much light leakage into the surrounding room (efficiency loss) like I've seen with the Gardyn. The Gardyn also uses quite a bit more electricity, including the pump, so the overall monthly electrical costs are definitely higher on the Gardyn as compared to the Smart Garden 27.

Oatly oat milk is so good!

My plant pods eventually got choked by roots I’m guessing. Food did not help.

I have owned one for about two years and overall find it very useful. I have found out lately that it tends to get a hard residue coating on the basket that proves very difficult to remove without soaking overnight. Other people have also mentioned this. I have discovered a simple solution by adding dry old white bread to the mixture it removes the caked on residue.

I live alone now and have community/institutional food for six years. Watching your video captured me. I can get salad, fruit, dessert from Complex without more unsalted veggies and loads of pasta with “cream” sauce. Thank you for demonstrating what the cook does. The mechanics of creating, organizing, shipping, and ingenuity of cooking such meals makes them a bargain in my life.

I’ve found with higher liquid foods, you can run the cycle again and it will do fine. I composted very ripe watermelon oooozing with fluid as an experiment. There was literally standing fluid. It took 3 full cycles but the end result was an amazing dark, rich dirt. The rind will compost, btw, but they turn into basically chips like bark wood mulch.

I'm happy to see you so excited with you C&G. I get just as excited about my Aerogardens, so I know how you feel. I had to laugh a little bit and think to myself "Bless her heart" when you said your reasons for not choosing the Aerogarden. You do realize that Aerogardens can be put on shelves just as the C&G don't you? I know you made this video two years ago, but Aerogarden was making shelf compatible units in 2021 and before. Also, the XL Aerogarden Farms are stand alone units and not meant to be put on a counter.. My point being, while I am happy you are happy with your choice, I don't feel like this is a good comparison and hope people will do their own research when deciding what to buy. Happy growing!
