I’m so glad you took 7 inches off this pair of jeans!! I have a pair of men’s red Levi’s that I thrifted but they are WAY too big and I had no idea how to go about tailoring them since so many videos only show taking an inch off the waist. Do you use a special needle?

For the seams that are just "denim to denim" and not distressed, you can use some light sandpaper to distress along the seams and make it look more natural

I found that making the darts too long, as in to the bottom of the pocket, my butt looked flat. Going halfway down the pocket made a nice butt flattering dart.

A beautiful skirt, but the steps aren't clear...the maths, so not clear

The baggy Esprit jeans I want to alter are too large in the waist and the hips/legs, by about 3 inches. Can I just bring in the centre back seam and the side seams or should I do darts? I love the high waist and loose legs otherwise. Thinking about it further, I guess that altering the back centre seam will bring the back pockets closer together.🙁 I think that seam above the pockets is called the yoke. So, the little copper pocket stud was lost in the hip alteration?

This is so impressive. I don't even know where to start. I've done a few sewing classes in the past and occasionally I hand stitch the sides of my pants to make them fit my waist.
