Sony TV Zoom lens 17 - 102 f2.1 (made by Canon). Some footage from this nice Super 16 cine zoom. The lens mount is C mount, works great with cheap C-mount to Micro 4/3 adapter. All shots at f2, various focal lenghts. Camera: Lumix G7, graded with FilmConvert.

Yes, ESX-1 can be used as external mono sequencer with up to 128 steps

Yes, this thing is good for dirty sound (valve overdrive), but make sure to find version with SD card, will make your life easier

Nice to see some more recent ESX content. In spite of the legendary status of the Electribe name, this generation seems to have been mostly forgotten. I've had mine for just about 2 years and I've never loved a piece of gear more. Thinking of throwing up some videos myself to keep the dream alive lol

The weak point of small sensor cameras is the ultra wide angle. This particular lens will provide much better quality results to sensors that are larger than in the gopro type cams and leave gopro for dead. Since it successfully covers the GH4 sensor in video mode, it covers more than the advertised 1 inch sensor. You can sync it to Ableton and other external gear via MIDI cable (it has MIDI In-Out-Thru) and record audio from Electribe to computer via audio interface. It can also be used as a 128 step sequencer for external gear, it has 2 "melodic" tracks, which are monophonic. This machine is pretty advanced for its age!
Tamron version?...i use this lens on my Olympus E-P3..makes great macro lens too...

Only with this esx1 i made one (lets say 2) banger(s. Just added a few bad Juno106 sounds. It is a killlllllller. Motion sequence is pure magick.
It is seriously a great machine. I think it's about time Korg bring the updated Electribe based on ESX/EMX

Купил только что такой же esx-1SD, это шедевральная машина во всех отношениях! Даже тайм стрейч сэмпла делает без изменения тона и на оборот! Не то, что новое унылое пластмассовое гавно с прилизанным пластмассовым звуком, миниджеками и китайским дюралайтом для мамкиных диджеев!
Согласен, крутые машины, главное смотреть на состояние (им лет по 15-20 уже). Новые Electribe не пробовал...Но отзывы противоречивые о них...Меня больше всего смущает куча переходов по меню и отсутствие 16 кнопок секвенсора в ряд. Возможность работы от батареек скорее плюс :)
Alex Baranets я взял 2012 года модель которая на sd картах а не smart media! Состояние как с витрины!) искал долго конечно, теперь надо синий такой же найти! А то современные поделки от электрон на 4 звука и три эффекта совсем не впечатляют! Да и вообще, как маркетологи залезли в синтостроение, все стало очень плохо! Так что Олд скул рулит! И мне кажется что эти машины лет через 30 будут стоить безумных денег в отличии от например современной волки или Роланда бутика!

@@EyeHearMusic do you have to use digital zoom or digital crop? I can see alot of the inside of the lens on the wider focal lengths and it doesn't focus passed 6 feet or to infinity. Might be the wrong adapter

Thanks. The new 50mm 1.2 is a great lens, even though it only covers the APS-C sensor, not full-frame.

cool, remember if you used any particular sample pack? especially for synth parts
I think I used some of the packs available online with lots of tweaking of course :) Additionally, I was surprised that Electribe editor worked with Windows 10. This is a software that allows you to create your own ESX sample packs. The only setback is that a SM card is painfully slow to transfer files, but the results are totally worth it :)
@@AlexBaranets I only wish my Machinedrum had SM card for importing samples ;) .. MIDI transfers are the ultimate pain but it encourages working with a select few samples to get more mileage out of them. Limitation breeds creativity.
@@AdamsBrew78 yeah, exactly. However, if the device primary sound source is samples, for me it is crucial that the sample management process is hassle free.That's why I got the Model Samples instead of the Electribe. But, in the right hands the ESX/EMX are still killer, I keep seeing them in various setups alongside way more expensive equipment.

I bought this lens (with the camera) on a flee market for €10, and I use it now on a Canon 5D body. I'm blown away by your images. It is truly a good lens!
It was in my top 3 for M42 mount, I bet it looks wonderful on 5D :)

Very beautiful. The best way to avoid vignetting is, in my opinion, using "Digital converter X2" option.
How did you get around the vingetting?

Shame it only works in etc mode, really want to find a 12mm 1.4 (or as close to) to complete my little c mount Low light travel kit. Don't have any recommendations do you? I use the gh5 btw so i think it would have the same sensor size as your g6.
I recently switched to G7 & native Micro 4/3 lenses. Most of the c-mounts wider than 20 mm will vignette on Micro 4/3 sensor. The only c-mount lens that I regret selling is Wesley 24 mm f1.4 which was amazing & cheap. So I would recommend getting that one for sure!
