I always heard terrible things about Malort, so I thought I'd do a taste test and give you my review on it.
Old fiddle
zhlédnutí 25Před 8 měsíci
My dad gave me this fiddle before he died and i noticed the date inside was from 1838 and the name next to it is Charles Mousse, I don't know the value of it but if there are any experts out there that give me some idea, that would be great

Really enjoyed the jam. Love Tony’s up the neck version
182
The sound coming out of Tony's guitar is phenomenal. He is truly a legend.
Outstanding artist pure class ......
Fantastic!!!!!!!!
They have both passed now. Thanks guys for some great music.
I love seeing Tony Ricky and Jerry on stage
If it hadn't been for WWII we'd probably all be playing Reno style instead of Scruggs. Insanely creative and technically amazing.
I hope so very much that Wendy got to hear Tony sing her song.
The Osborne Brothers were awesome. The Brothers Osborne, not so much! 😄
Always loved Wyatt's rhythmic choices, he's a great player.
I miss stringbean, wish he was still here 😢
Learned this on mandolin a couple of years ago and has never left my brain
Pick that 5 stringer! Pretty fancy playing!
This would just sound 🔊 perfect and be sitting in the Ryman in Nashville on a Sat night woooooo Johnny From Alabama ❤❤❤
Man! I use to listen to this amazing duo over & over & over & over!…
Wasn’t he in TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY?
They were the best in bluegrass!
Not bad, but John Denver did the best rendition by far.
6 feet, 6 inches, 6 figures...Earthly pleasures I have not found.
I love her singing! Unique voice.
the main singer is bobby osborne?
So fabulous...every player!!!
LEGEND
Just fabulous. RIP Tony <3
Where the Walker runs down to the Carson Valley plain, There lived a maiden, Darcy Farrow was her name The daughter of old Dundee and fair was she And the sweetest flower that bloomed o'er the range. Her voice was sweet as the sugar candy Her touch was as soft as a bed of goose down. Her eyes shone bright like the pretty lights That shine in the night out of Yerington town. She was courted by young Vandermeer And quite handsome was he I am to hear He brought her silver rings and lacy things And she promised to wed before the snows fell that year. But her pony did stumble and she did fall. Her dyin' touched on the heart of us all. Young Vandy in his pain put a bullet to his brain And we buried them together as the snows began to fall. They sing of Darcy Farrow where the Truckee runs through They sing of her beauty in Virginia City too. At dusty Sundown to her name they drink a round And to young Vandy whose love was true. It looks like the Stanley Brothers are playing on Pete Seeger’s show from the 1960s.
I found this while trying to find a banjo tab for "the whole world round". Got a long way to go.
I just got a banjo… how the hell did he do that lord thats gonna take me AT LEAST 5 years to try to do that😮
Even better than Bill Monroe's original version.
i love at the 1:38 the little backup band and drummer got off beat, i love sonny looking around like "if you MF'ers dont get in line"
Or maybe Bobby?
In danger of catching fire here...
I fondly recall seeing Tony Rice perform live many times, this by far is my favorite performance, such great lyrics and Tony sang it perfectly
Ralph Stanley is definitely at the Mount Rushmore of banjo pickers
He is so missed . . .
I agree
Jerry looks about 16 here
👍 Classic
A very frail looking Carter Stanley
Being an alcoholic does that to a guy, he didn't last much longer after this show
Great
There's no beating this version of NPH.............Magic Playing Everywhere
Peter is the sole contributor to turning the IBMA Woke
Low key funky as hell
These guys look like someone’s holding their family hostage.
what do you mean?
@@luckydog22001 They look like they know a sniper has a bead on them while they’re playing. Miserable and terrified.
@@bustedfender ?
@@luckydog22001 Sorry man, can’t be any more clear. All the best…
As a banjo playing teenage in the 70’s, I wore the “Circle” albums out. Soldiers Joy was always my favorite. I would listen, pick up the needle & listen again…and again….
"America's sweetheart!"- John Prine
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
beautiful song . Bring memories to everyone who have a mother who sang to them
Tony was the greatest flat picker I’ve ever met. RIPMr. Rice
