For a game from late 90s, I was very impressed by the 3D mobility axis, most games I see from this era are horizon flat positioning.

People love to trash on this game now but at the time it was really cool. Loved being inside the South Park world and hearing all the voices, using the fun weapons, and it played like Turok which was all the rage back then.

Rare made the best of the best games at that time. The golden eye, perfect dark, the donkey Kongs. This game was a hidden gem amongst them all.

I always loved the different types of songs that played during the approach of each home player to the box. I always wondered if they were real songs.

I remember being extremely pissed that the logos weren't on the helmets and traded this in for quarterback club.

I had this game, and I could play it for hours, but at the same time, it was hard for me to pass it lol

I was never a Yankees fan but thanks to this game I listened to ton of John Sterling growing up. When I heard he was retiring I couldn't help but remember these days. To my knowledge, still the only baseball series to offer 4-player couch co-op. When my grandma would visit, she'd come into the room and ask my brother if that was a real game on the TV haha.

I will never forget the walk up songs from this game. I remember them all so distinctly and still hear them in my head to this day

Ubisoft??? This is WAY BETTER than their current selection of games. It’s an actual game, and doesn’t have ads plastered all over it despite being a PAID GAME! Games being finished products, and legitimately fun is rare today.

If you love the game, checkout Unicorn Overlord (developed by Vanillaware and published by Atlus) in Mar 2023 for a spiritual sequel.

Loved this game, it was the first football game I ever played where you could create,trade, and release players so that was always really cool to me doing crazy things like trading John Elway for Brett Favre or Barry Sanders for Emmit Smith. Or just stacking a team like putting Terrell Davis, Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Jerome Bettis, Reggie White, and Ray Lewis all on the pre greatest show on turf rams and leading them to the championship. Only downside and I didn’t understand why it was like this when I was 8 was the lack of team names. You had the Green and Yellow Green Bay team or the dark blue and orange Denver team but they weren’t the Broncos or the Packers. New England was called Foxboro, Minnesota was called Minneapolis. I didn’t understand that they didn’t have the nfl team name license but they had the nflpa rights to use player names. I always wondered why they couldn’t get the nfl team names but nonetheless it was a fun game even if I had to lead my team to the EA Sports championship rather than the Super Bowl.
