Thank you for posting. Love your idea for a theme. The Royal mint released a Mary Seacole £5 last year. I thought with the RNLI having its 200th anniversary this year that there might be a Grace Darling coin released. If she doesn’t deserve a coin in her honour nobody does!

Good topic to start a collection. The American Women Quarter will end this year. The quarter that came after Maya Angelou was astronaut Sally Ride who is the first American woman in space and went up twice. As a Californian she was well loved in my state. A statue of her is at the Ronald Reagan Library near LA. I gave my English cousin a quarter with Ride on it and then took her to the Science Center that have one of the Space Shuttles. Ride didn't ride on this shuttle, the one she rode twice in was the Challenger which you know blew up in 1986.

Lovely drawers but they might get grubby quite quick with coins in. You could line them with fancy paper to protect them. 😎🍀💜

I have been collecting for over 50 years and here in Canada I always recomended pennies as a starter for young and new collectors but as you know Canada no longer mints pennies they stopped in 2012 however 90% of my collection is circulated coins now I recommend nickels here in Canada you can still put together a very nice date run of nickels from 1922 to 2023 for very low money spent in my last live nickel hunt I found a 1932 KG 5 nickel so they are still out there now there are about 4 Canadian nickels that would cost more than most budgets 1923 , 1925 and 1926 far 6 variety and 1964 extra water line variety but the rest could still be found coin roll hunting so happy hunting and above all HAVE FUN.

Hi CC, the 23 and 24 are actually different as the 23 set has the privy mark, and the 24 doesn't but the designs are the same. 😎👍

I misread the title of this at first, and mistook it to be a video filmed by American tourists _visiting_ Brighton! 😆 Nice find on that Quarter in the 10p pushers, though! 😁 I carry a couple of „Quarters“ around with me all the time, as it happens. No I'm not American, I'm actually British...But since the government proposed the removal of Metric in 2022 (Which got totally shot down in November! 😁) I've been carrying two Crowns (5s/25p) in my wallet so whenever decimalisation is reversed I'm already good to go! 🪙🇬🇧😋

Ye you right there my pal works at a potato factory and they’re all the same potatoes but they put some in bags for Asda some for Tesco and some are put in the Maurice Piper bags even though they are the same potatoes

I live in a seaside town, and the occasional trip to the local amusement arcade for a coin hunt is a habit I have found hard to break after I once went in, put a pound in the 10p change machine, and got eight alphabet 10ps out of 10. Needless to say, I started feeding the machine pound coins and eventually left with a huge haul of 45 alphabet 10p's. The British 10p and the US quarter are extremely similar in size and weight, so it's also quite common to find those mixed in the 10ps. You never know what you are going to find. That's what makes coin hunts so much fun.😊

I noticed that you are missing the US territories in the state quarters. They are part to complete the collection. They are D.C., Guam, Northern Marianas, American Samoa and Puerto Rico. They are not rare but are low mintage and quite hard to find out in the wild now a days.
